  • Patent number: 11988471
Abstract: Devices and methods for fabrication of a multiscale porous high-temperature heat exchanger for high-temperature and high-pressure applications are disclosed. The heat exchanger can include a core with macrochannels formed in a checkerboard pattern to facilitate alternative flow of working fluid having hot and cold temperatures between adjacent macrochannels. Each macrochannel can include a two-dimensional microchannel array that further distributes flow throughout the heat exchanger to enhance heat transfer and mechanical strength without significant pressure drop penalty. The heat exchanger can further include a header integrated therewith to distribute working fluid flowing through the heat exchanger through the outlets such that it flows evenly therethrough. Methods of fabricating heat exchangers of this nature are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11978916
Abstract: A battery pack assembly includes a housing having a plurality of sides and defining an internal cavity, a plurality of battery cells received in the internal cavity, and battery electronics received in the internal cavity. A battery pack interface is supported by the housing and connectable to a device. An injection port is supported by the housing. The injection port includes one or more channels positioned on one or more of the sides of the housing. Each channel connects the internal cavity to an exterior of the battery pack. The injection port is configured to direct a fluid comprising adhesive material from the exterior of the battery pack into the internal cavity. The fluid is configured to cover at least one of a portion of the battery cells and a portion of the battery electronics.

  • Patent number: 11974288
Abstract: A method and apparatus for transmitting uplink control information (UCI) for Long Term Evolution-Advanced (LTE-A) using carrier aggregation is disclosed. Methods for UCI transmission in the uplink control channel, uplink shared channel or uplink data channel are disclosed. The methods include transmitting channel quality indicators (CQI), precoding matrix indicators (PMI), rank indicators (RI), hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) acknowledgement/non-acknowledgement (ACK/NACK), channel status reports (CQI/PMI/RI), source routing (SR) and sounding reference signals (SRS). In addition, methods for providing flexible configuration in signaling UCI, efficient resource utilization, and support for high volume UCI overhead in LTE-A are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20240120095
Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for determining an individual's risk of an adverse health outcome particularly a near-term cardiovascular event. In one embodiment, non-invasive chest CT scan images are input into an artificial intelligence system (AIS). Based on the CT scans, the AIS provides an analysis that includes one or more of a CAC score based; plaque density; plaque quantity; plaque locations; and the volume of cardiac chambers; and a measurement of cardiac ejection fraction (EF). Based on the AI analysis and additional risk factors, estimates of risk are determined. The estimation of risk can be done automatically by a digital application. In one embodiment, EF can be determined by the AIS using non-contrast, ECG-gated CT scan images acquired during end-diastole and end-systole. In some embodiments, the density of vasa vasorum around a coronary plaque is measured to detect active and inflamed plaques from passive and stable ones.

  • Patent number: 11943786
Abstract: Methods of mapping, indicating, encoding and transmitting uplink (UL) grants and downlink (DL) assignments for wireless communications for carrier aggregation are disclosed. Methods to encode and transmit DL assignments and UL grants and map and indicate the DL assignments to DL component carriers and UL grants to UL component carriers are described. Methods include specifying the mapping rules for DL component carriers that transmit DL assignment and DL component carriers that receive physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH), and mapping rules for DL component carriers that transmit UL grants and UL component carriers that transit physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) when using separate coding/separate transmission schemes.

  • Publication number: 20170140047
Abstract: A collaboration database service allows end users to create and collaborate on custom databases as any other type of productivity content (presentations, word processing documents, spreadsheets, etc.). Providing a more data centric experience rather than formatting centric may allow for a malleable experience. The custom entities the user defines may indicate how to best display the data on various devices, what rules should be enforced, and what actions need to be taken on behalf of the user. A collaboration database service according to embodiments may not only provide easy creation and sharing of various databases across devices, but also integrate and interoperate with various productivity application workloads. Each productivity application may play a unique role, and those individual strengths may be highlighted in an example service to bring the system together.
