  • Publication number: 20060263920
Abstract: A liquid crystal display (LCD) device and its fabrication method are disclosed. Specifically, a fabrication method in which polyhedral spacers are implemented on a substrate through an ink jet method are used for an LCD device. The spacers have the polyhedral shape to increase their contact area with two substrates, and include a surface processed layer for strengthening a bonding force in its bonding with an alignment film formed on the two substrates. The spacers have a polyhedral shape for maintaining the cell gap between the substrates.

  • Patent number: 6905500
Abstract: Disclosed is a bone fixation apparatus. This device comprises a bone screw having a head; a cap member placed on an upper part of the head of the bone screw; a receiver member having a bore in which the cap member and the head of the bone screw are respectively accommodated and held, and a U-shaped channel through which a support bar extends; and a compression member threadedly coupled into the receiver member to downwardly bias the support bar. A multitude of stepped portions are formed at a lower end and inner surface of the receiver member to be brought into linear contact with an outer surface of a lower part of the head so that the supporting force for the head of the bone screw is increased.

  • Publication number: 20050021032
Abstract: A cervical spine fixator and a screwdriver used therefore is disclosed wherein the fixator comprises plates (12, 212) for being adjoined to a cervical spine fixation region and a plurality of screws (14, 214). The plurality of screws are fixedly inserted into a patient's cervical spine and simultaneously coupled to the plates, wherein an adjacent region coupled with the screws in the plates is fixed with screw head fixture members (16, 216) having a protruder, which is deformed under the effect of pressure by a screw head when the screws are inserted and returns to their position of origin when the screw head is completely accommodated into the plates to be hitched by the screw head. The plates are formed thereon with receiving grooves (22, 222) for accommodating the screw head and the screw head fixture member. The receiving grooves are formed with openings into which the screws are inserted and a recess into which the screw head is received.

  • Patent number: 6428575
Abstract: A prosthetic cage for spine adapted to be implanted in an intervertebral disc space between two vertebral bodies in a spine and to accommodate fusion of the disc space, said cage being a tubular body with an internal aperture, an external surface of which having a plurality of wall apertures each perpendicular to the longitudinal axis thereof and communicating with the internal aperture, and dual convex screw threads extended therefrom, such that the cage of the present invention has an advantage that the stability of fixation between the cage and the vertebral body can be achieved by simple variation of its shape.
