  • Patent number: 7880752
Abstract: A plurality of image data attached to electronic mail data is stored in a memory. A control unit identifies an image having the largest width, from among images drawn by each image data. The control unit then computes a contraction scale to be used for fitting the largest image to a display area of its own display unit, and applies the contraction process to data of each of image stored in memory using the computed contraction scale. Thus contracted image data are then displayed on the display unit.

  • Patent number: 7676575
Abstract: When downloading a Java™ application AP from a server 40, a scheme and a transmission port number used by server 40 when downloading Java™ application AP are stored in addition to a host name of server 40. Then, when the Java™ application AP accesses a resource on the Internet, the host name of a resource to be accessed, and a scheme and a destination port number are compared with the stored host name, scheme, and transmission port number. The network access is permitted only when the compared items agree with each other.

  • Patent number: 7174333
Abstract: At a terminal where communication can take place via a network, ADF in which property information on data is stored is received, and based upon the communication systems (ordinary/SSL) which were used for receiving this ADF and the communication system which is used for receiving JAR in which the entity of the above mentioned data is stored, whether a communication pattern is allowable determined. JAR is received if the communication pattern is allowable, and JAR is not received if the communication pattern is not allowable for security reasons. In other words, data is obtained only when the communication pattern is allowable.

  • Patent number: 6944271
Abstract: When information is delivered to a receiver mobile communication terminal, an update unit updates delivery status data stored in first storage, from “undelivered” to “delivered” in response to an update request from a relay when check permission data stored in second storage is “permitted.” When in this state a sender terminal issues a check request for the delivery status data, a sending unit sends the delivery status data of “delivered” status to the sender terminal. When the check permission data is set as “prohibited,” the delivery status data is not updated to the delivered status even if the receiver has received the information.

  • Patent number: 5662995
Abstract: Transfer paper for electrophotography of the present invention includes base paper; and a coating layer provided on at least one side of the base paper. The coating layer includes a pigment and a binder, has a solids content in the range of 2 to 10 g/m.sup.2, and has void-free areas containing no voids having a circle-equivalent diameter of equal to or more than 1 .mu.m and void area containing voids whose circle-equivalent diameter is equal to or more than 1 .mu.m. A proportion of void areas whose equivalent circle diameter is more than 20 .mu.m is not more than 2%, and the average equivalent circle diameter of the void areas and that of the void-free areas as observed on the surface of the coating layer satisfy at least one of the following conditions: (1) the average equivalent circle diameter of the void areas and that of the void-free areas are each from 1.5 to 10 .mu.m; (2) the average equivalent circle diameter of the void areas and that of the void-free areas are each 0.2 to 1.
