  • Patent number: 6317962
Abstract: In a method for producing a stator of an alternating current dynamo-electric machine, a laminated assembly with a roughly rectangular parallelopiped shape is produced, and a stator coil assembly is disposed in slots of the laminated assembly. Thereafter, a cylindrical stator core is produced by bending the laminated assembly. The stator coil assembly can thereby be easily disposed in the slots at a higher density, and damage to the conductors of the stator coil assembly can be prevented.

  • Patent number: 5760513
Abstract: A bracket 7 is composed of a casing 8 having a journal 8b at the center thereof and an annular flange 9 having a mount 9c projecting radially outwardly from the outer periphery thereof and coupled with the outer periphery of the casing 8, the casing 8 and the annular flange 9 being divided in the axial direction of a rotary shaft 2a. With this arrangement, there can be obtained an AC generator for vehicle the cost of which can be reduced when a new bracket is made.

  • Patent number: 5729063
Abstract: A vehicle AC generator having a rotor located with in a main unit of the generator and journaled at a rotary shaft includes a rectifier unit 21, including a plurality of diodes, a circuit board, and positive-electrode and negative-electrode side cooling plates, for rectifying an AC current. A rear bracket covers at least one of the cooling plates. Preferably, the diodes are soldered to the cooling plates, which are formed in an arcuate-belt shape. Diode leads oppose each other diametrically; connection terminals of the circuit board are collectively spot-welded. The cooling plate is provided with radial cooling fins, allowing air to flow smoothly and, thus, cooling at a relatively high efficiency. The rectifier unit is mounted in the rear bracket, the cooling plate is directly connected to the bracket, and its heat is radiated therefrom. The diodes are arranged such that they overlap diametrically in the generator, allowing its axial length to be reduced.

  • Patent number: 5682070
Abstract: Phase coil lead wires of a vehicle-mounted alternator with two three-phase star connections are led almost in parallel out of the armature in an axial direction, welded to lead wire connection parts of insert terminals of a circuit board, and connected in parallel to form the star connections by way of the insert terminals. The star connections are achieved in a solderless manner, without twisting or bending the phase coil lead wires. Consequently, there is no possibility of injuring the lead wires due to applications of large stress.
