The time-to-digital converter has a high resolution. That is to say, the time-to-digital converter has a resolution less than the minimum phase delay time of a delay element, which is obtainable in a corresponding semiconductor process.

The focal length is adjusted by changing the curvatures of the surfaces of the first and second liquids and the curvature of the first transparent elastic membrane by a voltage.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein are a method of depositing a thin film and a method of manufacturing a semiconductor using the same, having high selectivity by increasing etching resistance while an extinction coefficient associated with anti-reflectivity is maintained low. The method of depositing a thin film according to the invention includes (a) depositing an carbon anti-reflective film on the bottom film of a substrate; and (b) adding a compound containing nitrogen (N), fluorine (F) or silicon (Si) to the surface or the inner portion of the carbon anti-reflective film, to deposit a thin film of a-C:N, a-C:F or a-C:Si, having high selectivity, to a thickness from 1 to 100 nm using an atomic layer deposition process. Therefore, an ultrathin film having etching resistance is formed on or in the carbon anti-reflective film and the density and compressive stress of the carbon anti-reflective film are increased, thus increasing etching selectivity.

    Abstract: Localized delivery of 1,25 D3 directly to a target area using biodegradable polymeric matrices maximizes the efficacy of this drug while minimizing systemic exposure and toxicity. Anticalcemic analogs of 1,25 D3 have also been incorporated into controlled release polymer formulations to achieve efficacious intracranial concentrations of 1,25 D3 analogs for the treatment of intracranial tumors as well as neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's disease as well as to maximize the efficacy of these analogs in the treatment of systemic malignancies. The therapeutic efficacy of these formulations was demonstrated through a variety of studies in vitro and in vivo. Hybrid analogs of 1,25 D3 were incorporated into biodegradable polymer wafers composed of a polyanhydride copolymer of 1,3-bis(p-carboxyphenoxy)propane (CPP) and sebacic acid (SA) in a 20:80 molar ratio.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for supplying a solid raw material to a grower of silicon or germanium semiconductor single crystal. In the solid raw material supply apparatus including a cylindrical body mounted above a crucible for receiving the solid raw material therein, a bottom cover detachably installed in the lower end of the body and basically formed in the shape of a cone, and a connection means for relatively moving the bottom cover upwards and downwards with regard to the body, the conic bottom cover is made from the same material as a semiconductor to be grown to the single crystal and the solid raw material is charged while the bottom cover is spaced away from the melt in the crucible at a predetermined distance, thereby the bottom cover can be used repetitively, and even though the bottom cover is broken by shocks resulted from the fall of the solid raw material, fragments of the bottom cover do not contaminate the melt.
