    Abstract: A sealed battery including a bottomed cylindrical outer can having an opening, the opening and a sealing body being crimp-sealed with an insulating gasket interposed therebetween, is disclosed. The sealing body includes a first plate-shaped member and a second plate-shaped member bonded to a surface of the first plate-shaped member, the surface facing the outside of the battery. At least the first plate-shaped member is crimp-sealed at an outer periphery thereof, and the crimp-sealed plate-shaped member has a thin portion on at least one surface thereof, the thin portion serving as a starting point of deformation of the sealing body when a battery internal pressure increases. When the battery internal pressure increases, the sealing body is deformed so that a gap is formed between the insulating gasket and the sealing body and gas in the outer can is vented to the outside of the outer can.
