  • Publication number: 20230207835
Abstract: A non-aqueous electrolyte battery includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a separator interposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, and a nonaqueous electrolytic solution. The positive electrode, the separator, and the negative electrode are spirally wound. The positive electrode includes a positive electrode active material and an expanded metal. The positive electrode has a thickness larger than or equal to 0.8 mm and smaller than or equal to 3 mm. A thickness T of the expanded metal satisfies 0.15 mm?T?0.3 mm. A center-to-center distance SW of the expanded metal in a shorter direction in mesh and a center-to-center distance LW of the expanded metal in a longer direction in mesh satisfy 6 mm2?LW·SW?20 mm2. A feed width W of the expanded metal satisfies 0.15 mm?W?0.3 mm.

  • Publication number: 20230178831
Abstract: A hermetically sealed battery includes a battery can having a bottomed cylindrical shape and an opening, an electrode body accommodated in the battery can, a sealing plate covering the opening of the battery can, a rivet disposed on the sealing plate and serving as a terminal, an insulator insulates the sealing plate from the rivet, and an internal lead electrically connected to the rivet. The insulator includes a sealing part sealing between the sealing plate and the rivet and a plate part closer to the electrode body than the sealing part, the plate part being extended in a radial direction of the electrode body. The plate part has a cut-away portion recessed in a periphery of the plate part in the radial direction. The internal lead is partially disposed in the cut-away portion.

  • Publication number: 20210384526
Abstract: A lithium primary battery includes a wound electrode body obtained by winding a sheet-like positive electrode, a sheet-like negative electrode, and a separator interposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, and a nonaqueous electrolyte solution. The positive electrode includes manganese dioxide as a positive electrode active material. The negative electrode includes at least one selected from the group consisting of metallic lithium and lithium alloys, and has a first principal surface and a second principal surface opposite to the first principal surface. An entire surface of each of the first principal surface and the second principal surface faces the positive electrode. A total area of the first principal surface and the second principal surface is 100 cm2 or more and 180 cm2 or less.
