    Abstract: The present invention is directed to a vibration insulating assembly including a rubber vibration insulator and metallic members bonded thereto. In particular, the present invention relates to a method for manufacturing the same, by which the quality of the resulting assembly is improved by providing a high bonding strength between the vibration insulator and metallic members. Retainers are provided about the peripheries of the bonding surfaces of the rubber vibration insulator in order to restrict displacement and deformation of the rubber vibration insulator across the bonding surfaces or at the bonding interface with the metallic members and to facilitate its positioning. The presence of the retainers allows for the application of a predetermined pressure on the bonding surfaces to enhance the bonding strength while preventing an undesirable strain from forming in the bonding surface of the rubber vibration insulator.

    Abstract: A method for producing a cylindrical bushing with hydraulic damping includes the steps of preparing an internal ring having an elliptical cross-section including a major axis and a minor axis, disposing within the internal ring a vibration-damping rubber block through which an inner cylinder coaxially penetrates and which has wall portions for defining a liquid chamber, so that the wall portions extend along the minor axis of the internal ring; deforming the internal ring so as to have a circular cross-section; and press-fitting the deformed internal ring into an outer cylinder.

    Abstract: A vibration-damping device with hydraulic damping has a base body, a cylindrical holder secured to the base body, and an outer cylinder press-fitted within the cylindrical holder. A vibration-damping rubber body provided with a main liquid chamber enclosing a damping liquid is disposed within the outer cylinder, and retains an inner cylinder. A thin rubber wall is disposed between the outer cylinder and the vibration-damping rubber body, and defines an auxiliary liquid chamber with the vibration-damping rubber body. This auxiliary liquid chamber communicates with the main liquid chamber by way of a throttled passageway. The cylindrical holder has a rib-like projection which radially outwardly project therefrom, and extends in a circumferential direction thereof. This projection defines a groove along an inner surface of the cylindrical holder.
