  • Publication number: 20060227514
Abstract: A digital micro-mirror assembly for an optical projection system includes a DMD module with a control board. The control board is provided with a first fixing member, and a DMD is mounted on one side of the control board. A DMD holder resiliently supports a perimeter of the DMD, and an optical holder is provided with a second fixing member to support the DMD module. A fastening member is engaged with the first and the second fixing members to integrally connect the DMD module and the optical holder.

  • Publication number: 20050248692
Abstract: A projection television includes a light source, a fan to supply air to the light source, an exhaust duct disposed adjacent to the light source and having an inlet through which the air is taken in, an outlet through which the air cooling the light source is emitted, and a curved part to connect the inlet and the outlet, and a plurality of veins separately provided inside the exhaust duct. The projection television with the exhaust duct prevents the light generated from the light source from being externally exposed and controls the air to flow smoothly.

  • Publication number: 20050248691
Abstract: An optical engine apparatus to magnify and project an image beam formed by a display device on a screen includes a light source to emit light, an optical path transformation unit provided on an optical path between the light source and the display device to transform a path of the light from the light source toward the display device, and an accommodating unit in which the optical path transformation unit is accommodated, to form the path of the light in the optical path transformation unit. With this configuration, the optical engine apparatus minimizes a loss of the light generated from the light source and projected to the display device, and improves a brightness of a picture corresponding to the image beam. The optical path transformation unit is accommodated in an accommodation casing to minimize leaking of the light thereby maintaining a good quality of the picture and protecting the optical engine apparatus from contamination due to dust or foreign substances.
