The method includes connecting variability points of components to each other and also connecting at least one variability point of the components to a corresponding variability point of at least one of source code and build script; receiving an input having a predetermined value and setting the predetermined value to a variability point of the components; reflecting corresponding values of the predetermined value to the connected variability point of at least one of the source code and build script.

Abstract: Provided are an apparatus and method of componentizing a legacy system that reconstructs software components, which are included in the legacy system, as abstract or logical modules according to the association between the components. An apparatus for componentizing a legacy system includes a legacy code analyzing unit which analyzes the association between one or more legacy codes, which are included in the legacy system, a component generating unit which generates data for defining one or more components by referring to the analyzed association, a component analyzing unit which analyzes the association between the components, and a data updating unit which updates the data by referring to the association between the components.

Abstract: A method is provided for managing services provided by devices in a home network. A home network apparatus manages information related to services provided by all devices in a home network, and requests from a second device a substitute service capable of substituting for a service of a first device when the first device fails to provide the service. Accordingly, when a device from which a user requests a service cannot provide the service, the user does not need to directly search for a different device and again request the service from the different device.

Abstract: Provided are an apparatus and method for setting a user interface according to user preferences, more particularly, an apparatus and method for setting the user interface according to the user preferences, in which the user interface can be set up by reflecting the user preferences, and the set user interface is synchronized in order to be used in other devices. The apparatus includes a user-interface-configuration unit that is notified of an update and rearrangement of a predetermined user interface element by a user, a user-information-management unit that manages security information of the user that reconfigures the user interface element, and a user-interface-tree-management unit that reconfigures a predetermined user-interface tree based on the reconfigured user-interface element.

Abstract: Provided is a mode-based access control method that includes: making a security mode list which indicates security setting states of devices existing in a home network; setting a specific security mode selected from the modes on the security mode list; and making the devices perform functions thereof in the specific security mode. Also, provided is a mode-based access control device includes: an authentication unit which checks information on a user and authenticates the user; a mode configuration unit which makes a security mode list indicating the security setting state of devices forming a home network; a mode setting unit which sets a specific security mode selected from modes on the security mode list; and an operating unit which causes the devices to perform functions thereof in the specific security mode.

Abstract: A method and servers are provided for managing address information of a user of a session initiation protocol (SIP) terminal. The method includes receiving a registration request message requesting registration of individual address information from a communication terminal; determining whether a user of the communication terminal is a registered user using predetermined authentication information; and storing the individual address information, information indicating whether to permit disclosure of the individual address information, and information indicating an application using the individual address information to cause the individual address information, the information indicating whether to permit disclosure of the individual address information and the information indicating an application using the individual address information to correspond to the authentication information, if the user of the communication terminal is a registered user.

Abstract: A system and method for establishing a secured connection between home network devices are provided. Particularly, a system and method for establishing a secured connection between a home network including a plurality of non-secured Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) devices and a secured external UPnP device by creating virtual UPnP devices for the respective corresponding non-secured UPnP devices are provided. The system for establishing a secured connection between home network devices includes a virtual UPnP device creation unit which creates a secured virtual UPnP device for a non-secured UPnP device, an information storage unit which stores correspondence information regarding the non-secured UPnP device and the virtual UPnP device, and a secured communication unit which securely communicates with a secured UPnP device with reference to the correspondence information.

Abstract: A network management apparatus and method are provided to easily manage devices that are dynamically added to a network and yet maintain an existing network management structure. The network management apparatus includes a device connection management unit which determines whether to extend a predetermined management information base (MIB) according to an object identifier (OID) of a device connected to a network, and a virtual MIB connection unit which creates an object ‘virtual’ in the predetermined MIB according to the determination results provided by the device connection management unit, creates a virtual object for the device under the object ‘virtual’, assigns a serial number to the virtual object for the device according to a time in which the device has been connected to the network, and redefines the OID of the device according to the serial number.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for sharing services on a network wherein a role is decided for sharing services so that the services can be shared between OSGi service platforms of devices operating on a desired network using a desired election algorithm. The apparatus for sharing the services on the network includes a service role configuration unit for deciding a service role to share a desired core service through the election algorithm when connected to the desired network; and a service request processing unit for processing and requesting the core service requested to support a desired service from the OSGi service platform of a device assigned externally, according to the service role decided by the service role configuration unit.
