  • Publication number: 20080174728
Abstract: Disclosed is a liquid crystal display panel having an ion trap structure and a liquid crystal display including the same. The liquid crystal display panel has an opening area and a non-opening area and includes a first substrate, a second substrate that faces the first substrate, and a liquid crystal layer interposed between the first and the second substrates. The first substrate includes a plurality of unit pixels and a first alignment film having a first area and a second area. The first area of the first alignment film is disposed on the opening area, the second area is disposed on the non-opening area, and the second area is thinner than the first area.

  • Publication number: 20030082625
Abstract: The present invention provides for a method for the pretreatment of a surface and/or reservoir, in particular a plastic surface preferably a reservoirs and more in particular filter membranes enclosed therein, for the reduction of non-specific binding by chemical entities, such as but not limited to small organic molecules with bodily fluids such as blood serum proteins, to said reservoirs, whereby the method makes use a non ionic surfactant or, a cationic surfactant or both kinds of surfactants. The invention also concerns kits for enabling the method described above.
