The image display apparatus operated by a remote controller having a plurality of function keys, the image display apparatus comprises: an Xlet unit which performs Xlet included in a data broadcast signal; and a display unit which displays the preoccupied state of the plurality of function keys by the performed Xlet. Accordingly, a user may easily recognize the performed state of the Xlet.

Abstract: A display apparatus which displays its power consumption and a method of displaying power consumption thereof, are provided. The method of displaying power consumption of a display apparatus which includes a display, the method including: measuring power consumption of the display apparatus; displaying power consumption information about a measured power consumption and a settings menu to adjust a setting value involved in controlling the display apparatus on the display; and displaying power consumption information which is changed in accordance with an adjusted setting value on the display. The display apparatus and the method provide displaying power consumption on a screen, the power consumption being changed by adjusting setting values involved in controlling the display apparatus.

Abstract: An open cable broadcast processing apparatus and control methods are provided. The broadcast processing apparatus includes a tuner to tune a cable signal supplied from a delivery system, an interface which is connected with a cable card descrambling the cable signal supplied through the tuner; and a controller which controls the tuner to change a reception channel based on received channel information when the channel information is received from the cable card through the interface to upgrade software, and controls not to change an operation corresponding to an operational change command when the operational change command is input to request an operational change. Thus, a channel supplying software information is prevented from being changed while upgrading software of a cable card and the upgrading operation is completed without interruption.

Abstract: The present invention provides a display apparatus and a control method thereof which can more efficiently protect a user by originally interrupting a view limitation broadcast program by interrupting a broadcast in advance before the broadcast is interrupted by a view limitation function. A display apparatus includes a broadcast output part for outputting at least one of a video and a sound; a processor processing the broadcast signal to supply to the broadcast output part; a user input part for converting a channel; and a controller for controlling the processor so that a broadcast program of a converted channel is not output through the broadcast output part, during a predetermined determining time when it is determined whether the broadcast program based on the broadcast signal of the converted channel is a view limitation program on the basis of the rating information.
