Abstract: A method for preventing, improving or treating inflammatory skin diseases includes the step of administering a composition comprising a fermented Angelica gigas extract as an active ingredient. The fermented Angelica gigas extract has a significantly enhanced content of the main components of Angelica gigas, resulting in significantly increased antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory activities, so it can be effectively used for preventing, improving or treating inflammatory skin diseases.

Abstract: Proposed is a composition having antibacterial or antifungal activity, which includes a fermented extract of Scutellaria baicalensis, a fermented extract of Salvia miltiorrhiza, and a fermented extract of Dryopteris crassirhizoma, which, being comprised of natural ingredients, is safe for the human body, and can be effectively used as a natural preservative for foods and cosmetics due to its excellent antibacterial activity.

Abstract: Proposed is a method for manufacturing an Angelica gigas Nakai extract with an increased decursin content, an Angelica gigas Nakai extract prepared by the method, and a cosmetic composition including the Angelica gigas Nakai extract as an active ingredient, the manufacturing method including the steps of extracting Angelica gigas Nakai with ethanol; and inoculating a strain of the genus Bacillus into the ethanol extract of Angelica gigas Nakai to induce fermentation, the strain of the genus Bacillus being selected from Bacillus amyloliquefaciens and Bacillus subtilis.
