  • Patent number: 8894380
Abstract: A reciprocating compressor is provided that reciprocates a piston inside a cylinder as a linear motor is driven, to compress a refrigerant by sucking the refrigerant into a compression space between the cylinder and the piston, and then discharge the same. The piston is operated at a top dead center position and in a resonance state by symmetrically applying a voltage even if a load varies. An elastic coefficient of mechanical spring is set in consideration of a degree of shift of the piston influenced by gas springs varied by the load, and an initial value of the piston to maintain stroke of the piston is set so as to correspond to a required cooling capacity condition.

  • Patent number: 8057200
Abstract: The present invention discloses a linear compressor in which a piston is linearly reciprocated inside a cylinder, for sicking a refrigerant into a compression space between the piston and the cylinder, and compressing and discharging the refrigerant, and especially, a structure of discharging the refrigerant for the linear compressor which can reduce a pulsation of a high pressure discharged refrigerant, by making the refrigerant compressed in the compression space flow from a sub-discharge space with a relatively small volume to a sub-discharge space with a relatively large volume in a discharge chamber. As a result, the structure of discharging the refrigerant for the linear compressor can efficiently reduce noise and vibration.

  • Publication number: 20110250083
Abstract: The present invention discloses a compressor including a hermetic container into/from which refrigerant is sucked and discharged, a compression unit provided in the hermetic container and compressing the refrigerant, a motor unit provided in the hermetic container to be connected to the compression unit and driving the compression unit, and one or more irregular reflection portions provided on an outer circumferential surface of the motor unit. The irregular reflection portion repeatedly reflects and dissipates noise and vibration in the compressor to improve the noise reduction effect. In addition, the irregular reflection portion increases the surface area of the motor unit to improve the radiation effect, which results in high efficiency of the entire compressor.
