  • Publication number: 20080228944
Abstract: The present invention relates to method and apparatus for providing IP address of a gateway (IGD) of a home network. A remote device has to know IP address of the gateway when it queries/controls a device on a local network such as home network remotely. In a method in accordance with the present invention, identification and network address or URL of an external server are set to an IGD by a user Afterwards, a network address allocated to the IGD is transmitted to the external server along with the set identification (character string, domain name of IGD, etc.

  • Patent number: 7180497
Abstract: A data driving apparatus and method for a liquid crystal display wherein a digital to analog converter part is driven on a time-division basis to increase the number of output channels of a data driving IC without excessively increasing a chip area or by reducing a chip area in comparison to the existing chip area, thereby reducing the number of data driving IC's and TCP's. In the apparatus, a multiplexor part performs a time-division of input pixel data to output the time-divided pixel data. A digital to analog converter part converts the pixel data from the multiplexor part into pixel voltage signals. A demultiplexor part selectively supplies the pixel voltage signals from the digital to analog converter part to a plurality of output lines of the demultiplexor part. A sampler and holder part samples and holds the pixel voltage signals from the demultiplexor part to output the sampled and held pixel voltage signals to a plurality of data lines of the liquid crystal display.

  • Patent number: 7158130
Abstract: An adaptive method and apparatus prevents the formation of residual images in a liquid crystal display caused by a discharge of liquid crystal cells upon power-off. When an off-time of a ramp voltage is sensed, a white data signal may be generated. The white data signal is then displayed on a liquid crystal display panel until a power supply for the liquid crystal module is turned off.

  • Patent number: 7133014
Abstract: The present invention discloses a data transmission apparatus and method to lower a data transmission voltage for eliminating EMI. In the data driving apparatus, a timing controller aligns input pixel data, lowers input data voltages of the input pixel data, and outputs to a plurality of data transmission lines. A data driver raises the lowered input data voltages for driving the liquid crystal display panel and then converts into analog pixel voltage signals to supply the analog pixel voltage signals to the data lines.

  • Publication number: 20050200738
Abstract: A mode selection switch of a photographing device comprising a mode display unit for displaying the first operation mode with a highest usage frequency at one end, displaying the second operation mode with a second highest usage frequency at the other end, and displaying the third operation mode with a third highest usage frequency at the center of both ends, and a mode selection unit for indicating the first, second, and third operation modes arranged in order on the mode display unit. A user inputs a mode selection command to the mode selection unit to select one of the first, second, and third operation modes. Therefore, the user can easily select a desired operation mode without even looking at the mode selection switch and thus, the user's convenience is substantially improved.

  • Patent number: 6310187
Abstract: The present invention relates to a bifunctional red reactive dye and more particularly, to the bifunctional red reactive dye with monochlorotriazine and acetoxyethylsulfone as reactive groups expressed by formula (I), wherein, M is alkaline metal atom, which provides excellent combination of properties in that 1) the introduction of aminophenyl-&bgr;-acetoxyethylsulfone group to the dye may minimize the loss of dye, since its low solubility to water lessens the amount of the remaining solution during filtration, 2) an easier salting-out process requires a smaller amount of salt during the process so that the costs for the treatment of waste water may be significantly reduced, and 3) a better dyeing yield with enhanced substantivity and better brightness in color
