Abstract: An apparatus for cleaning a transfer roller and an optical photoreceptor cleans the transfer roller for transferring a toner image formed on the optical photoreceptor of a printing device to a recording paper, and includes a cleaning roller installed to closely contact an outer circumferential surface of the transfer roller and to be rotatable; a heat source installed in the cleaning roller for heating an outer circumferential surface of the cleaning roller; and a cleaning roller moving mechanism which causes the cleaning roller either to contact or be separated from the outer circumferential surface of the transfer roller. In addition, the apparatus further includes a waste ink mechanism which removes waste ink on the outer circumferential surface of the cleaning roller, and a discharge mechanism which discharges the removed waste ink.
Abstract: An image forming device forms an image on a recordable medium with image data supplied from a document. The device provides an otpimum print quality by varying a fixing temperature of a fixing unit after presuming an amount of consumed toner. In another embodiment, the image forming device is capable of supplying an optimum print quality by varying a transferring voltage level of a transfer unit after presuming the amount of consumed toner.

Abstract: A charger for charging the surface of a photoconductive drum by a contact charging method in an electrophotographic image forming apparatus includes: a charge roller for charging an unexposed surface of the photoconductive drum to a prescribed potential by contact with the surface of the photoconductive drum; a power supply connected to the charge roller, for supplying a variable DC charge voltage to the charge roller; a potential sensor installed around the photoconductive drum, for detecting a charge potential value of the unexposed surface of the photoconductive drum; and a controller for comparing the charge potential value detected by the potential sensor with a specified value, and changing the charge voltage generated by the power supply upon detecting any difference therebetween, so as to maintain the charge potential of the photoconductive drum at a constant value.
Abstract: An inkjet printing method and apparatus in which an ejecting head is rotated to selectively eject ink by centrifugal force. The viscosity of ink is varied electrically or magnetically. The method and apparatus requires no additional heater, piezoelectric element or compressor, thereby simplifying the structure and reducing the production cost of the printer.
