Abstract: A mobile terminal and controlling method thereof are disclosed, which facilitates a terminal to be used in further consideration of user's convenience. According to at least one of embodiments of the present invention, it is able to provide a terminal user with information indicating whether a pre-registered counterpart exists in a preview image displayed in the course of image photographing. The present invention includes displaying a camera preview image and if information on a current location of the mobile terminal is obtained, displaying a counterpart indicator in the camera preview image based on the current location of the mobile terminal. In this case, the counterpart indicator indicates that at least one pre-registered counterpart exists within the camera preview image.
