  • Publication number: 20110075859
Abstract: An apparatus and method for calibrating gain difference between microphones included in a microphone array are provided. In the gain calibrating apparatus, weights for each frequency component of the acoustic signals, which have been converted into the signals in the frequency domain are calculated. The weights are used to calibrate the acoustic signals such that the plurality of acoustic signals each have the same amplitude while the acoustic signals maintain their individual phase. The amplitudes of the acoustic signals are calibrated by use of the calculated weights. The gain calibrating apparatus calibrates gain in real time while calculating weights for frequency components of the frame of acoustic signals in real time.

  • Publication number: 20110051956
Abstract: An apparatus and method reduce noise in a complex spectrum domain to extract a target signal from input signals containing noise and target speech. Noise estimation may be performed through a filter with a filter learning coefficient that is updated according to a prior-signal-to-noise ratio (prior-SNR). Also, noise estimation accuracy may be improved by using confidential weighted scores. The target signal may be extracted by representing candidates of the target signal as at least two circles in the complex spectrum domain using the estimated noise and then geometrically calculating the intersections of the circles.

  • Patent number: 7807999
Abstract: An array substrate includes a gate line, a data line, a switching device, a transmissive electrode, a reflective electrode and a compensating wiring. A pixel region includes first and second regions. The switching device is connected to the gate line and the data line. The transmissive electrode is connected to the switching device. The transmissive electrode is formed in the first region. The reflective electrode is insulated from the transmissive electrode. The reflective electrode is formed in the second region that is adjacent to the first region. The compensating wiring is connected to the switching device. The compensating wiring faces the reflective electrode in the second region with an insulation layer interposed therebetween. Thus, both of a reflectivity of the reflective electrode and a transmissivity of the transmissive electrode are enhanced simultaneously, while the liquid crystal display apparatus maintains a uniform cell gap.

  • Publication number: 20100178560
Abstract: A negative active material for a rechargeable lithium battery, a method of preparing the negative active material, and a rechargeable lithium battery including the negative active material. The negative active material for a rechargeable lithium battery includes lithium titanium oxide (Li4Ti5O12) having a tap density of about 1.2 g/cc to 2.2 g/cc. The lithium titanium oxide is prepared by a mechano-chemical treatment and a heat treatment at a low temperature of about 650° C. to 775° C. According to the present invention, lithium titanium oxide having high crystallinity and tap density can be prepared through a simple and low-cost solid-phase method, e.g., a mechano-chemical treatment, and thus an electrode with excellent electrochemical reactivity and high energy density per volume can be fabricated.
