Abstract: A method for estimating a position of a moving object comprises: storing one or more reference position estimates for the moving object in a first buffer; storing step information in a second buffer, the step information including one or more step sizes and one or more step headings; receiving a motion event signal indicating the moving object moves continuously with a bounded direction; correcting the step information based on the one or more reference position estimates in response to receiving the motion event signal; and estimating the position of the moving object using the corrected step information.

Abstract: A method and device for estimating the position of a moving object associated with a user. The estimation includes receiving an acceleration signal and an orientation signal, receiving ranging measurements, generating step size and heading information based on the acceleration signal and the orientation signal, and determining the position of the object based on the ranging measurements and the step size and heading information.

Abstract: A method for estimating a position of an object comprises: receiving a motion event signal indicating a motion type of the object, the motion type being determined based on sensing data provided by one or more sensors; receiving one or more ranging measurements for distances between the object and one or more anchor points from a ranging device; determining a mode among a plurality of positioning modes based on the motion event and the one or more ranging measurements; and estimating a position of the object using the determined mode.

Abstract: An indoor positioning method includes scanning for registered Wi-Fi nodes with known coordinates to generate a list of the registered Wi-Fi nodes. The method also includes performing a ranging operation by (i) selecting nodes to range with from the list of the registered Wi-Fi nodes, and (ii) processing ranging responses from the selected nodes to generate a series of distance measurements. The method further includes obtaining a series of sensor readings generated by one or more inertial measurement units (IMUs) of a device. The method also includes estimating a position of the device based on the series of distance measurements and the series of sensor readings using first and second filtering operations that are performed in parallel.

Abstract: A method includes scanning for registered fine-time measurement (FTM)-enabled Wi-Fi nodes to generate a list of the FTM-enabled Wi-Fi nodes. The method also includes performing a ranging operation by (i) selecting nodes to range with from the list of the FTM-enabled Wi-Fi nodes and (ii) processing ranging responses from the selected nodes to generate distance measurements. The method further includes estimating a position of a device based on the distance measurements generated from the ranging operation.

Abstract: A system for managing a Digital Rights Management (DRM) content includes a content providing server for providing an environment, through which a DRM content and a digital right of the DRM content can be registered, a service providing server for issuing a license serving as a usage authority for each of DRM content files provided from the content providing server, generating a license revocation execution value in a specific field of the issued license, encrypting the generated license revocation execution value for transmission to a user terminal, and the user terminal for inspecting the license of the DRM content file transmitted from the service providing server, and extracting and storing the license and the license revocation execution value to use a corresponding DRM content file according to the license, and upon receiving a revocation request, transmitting a revocation result of the corresponding license to the service providing server.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for setting a Digital Rights Management (DRM) time for a DRM-enabled portable terminal for securing a reliable DRM time are provided. The method includes detecting a DRM time setting event, acquiring a reference time and a local time upon detection of the DRM time setting event, determining a reference value using the reference time and the local time, and setting the DRM time or the portable terminal based on the reference value.

Abstract: A system in which a source device can withdraw a Rights Object (RO) that a source device requested a target device to move through a Rights Issuer (RI) and operation method thereof are provided. The method includes transmitting a rights object withdrawal request message to a rights issuing server by a device, transmitting a rights object withdrawal response message to the device by the rights issuing server in response to the rights object withdrawal request message, and withdrawing and installing a corresponding rights object when receiving the rights object withdrawal response message by the device.

Abstract: A content providing method and system are disclosed that enable content producers to make a profit by providing contents encrypted by a mobile terminal. The content providing method includes: encrypting, by a mobile terminal, a content and registering the encrypted content in a content providing server; finding, by a communication terminal, the content registered in the content providing server and paying a use fee to use the content; and transmitting a valid authentication key associated with the content to the communication terminal after the payment. Accordingly, since content producers directly encrypt their contents, they can make a profit corresponding to the use of the contents.

Abstract: A method for enhancing a Digital Rights Management (DRM) authority, a content having an enhanced DRM authority and a portable terminal using the same. Reproduction of divisional regions of the content is prevented when a corresponding count value is equal to a permitted maximum number of reproductions. The DRM authority includes: reproducing DRM content having a first division region to an nth division region, where n is a natural number; and changing a first count value to an nth count value according to reproduction of the DRM content, wherein the count value limits a number of reproduction times of the DRM content for the corresponding division region. A variety of parameters can be set for each individual region to change the count value.
