Abstract: An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a housing having an opening, a roll installed in the housing, a flexible display configured to be wound on the roll and to be withdrawn from the housing through the opening in accordance with a rotating direction of the roll. The electronic device further includes moveable housing parts and a housing guide configured to guide and retract at least one part of the housing as space within the housing becomes available due to withdrawal of the flexible display, so that a height, width and/or overall size of the housing is reduced when the flexible display is withdrawn through the opening and extended outside of the housing.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a crash cushion. The crash cushion includes: a rail installed on the ground surface; a front support that is installed on a front end of the rail and is pushed backward along the rail when a shock is applied to the front support; a rear support installed on a rear end of the rail; and a shock absorber that is installed extending from the front support to the rear support and disposed at a predetermined height from the ground surface. The shock absorber includes a punch and a pipe, and it absorbs shock in such a way that the pipe is expanded in diameter by the punch. The crash cushion is installed on a road and can effectively absorb shock caused by a vehicle collision, thus minimizing loss of life, reducing damage to a vehicle, and also minimizing property damage.

The foldable electronic apparatus includes a display configured to be foldable, a detector configured to detect whether the display is folded, and a controller configured to control the display to display an interface on an accessible region of the display, in response to the detector detecting that the display is folded.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for operating a three-dimensional user interface in an electronic display device, according to a user's visual perspective from which a user looks at the device, are provided. In the method, the apparatus activates a three-dimensional mode in response to a user's request, and determines the user's visual perspective according to a predefined user's input received in the three-dimensional mode. Then the apparatus displays a user interface converted according to the user's visual perspective.
