  • Patent number: 7659945
Abstract: A color reproduction correcting system and method, and a video display device and method can reproduce original color by considering signal source and display device. Each signal source information and each display device information can be stored. The signal source and the display device, which are currently used (e.g., corrected), can be determined, for example, by a user selection. In one embodiment, the signal provided from a transmission side can be inverse gamma-corrected based on a corresponding signal source, and a colorimetric error of the inverse gamma-corrected signal is preferably corrected using corresponding signal source information and display device information. The corrected colorimetric error signal can be gamma-corrected based on a corresponding display device and then can be displayed on the corresponding display device.

  • Patent number: 7639292
Abstract: Apparatus and a method for improving image quality in an image sensor, where a black level of a photographed image is calibrated and luminance of an image signal is expanded within the allowable range of luminance through knee correction for the image signal in which the black level is calibrated. Interpolation for restoring a dead pixel may be achieved before gamma correction for image signal.

  • Patent number: 7567285
Abstract: An optical device for a camera including a lens array for focusing incident optical signals, a window glass positioned in front of the lens array to prevent alien substances from contacting the lens array, and a barrel for retaining the lenses of the lens array, wherein each lens of the lens array is coated with multi-layered thin films to suppress respective reflection waves of incident optical signals having different wavelengths, and of such a thickness that causes the phase of reflection waves reflected through the thin films to be the inverse of the phase of reflection waves reflected at the surface of the lens.

  • Patent number: 7486741
Abstract: The present invention discloses a wireless transmitting/receiving apparatus for transmitting and receiving large amounts of digital data using a commercial wireless transmitting/receiving apparatus. The wireless transmitting apparatus includes a data converter for mapping multibit digital data by a data symbol in accordance with a predetermined mapping table, for converting the data symbol to an analog signal, and for outputting the analog signal, and a wireless transmitter for modulating the analog signal and for transmitting the signal wirelessly. The wireless receiving apparatus includes a wireless receiver for demodulating a wireless signal received to an analog signal, and a data restoration section for converting the analog signal to a digital signal in accordance with a predetermined mapping table, conducting an inverse symbol mapping on the digital signal, and outputting the digital signal.

  • Patent number: 7298352
Abstract: A liquid crystal display that is capable of improving a display quality of the LCD is disclosed, wherein gamma data for controlling the gamma voltage is stored for each of at least two modes. The gamma data for each mode is accessed in response to a selected mode, and n gamma voltages (wherein n is an integer), each having a different voltage level, indicated by the gamma data in the selected mode are generated. A lookup table is provided in which a color temperature correction data for correcting a color temperature characteristic of an input image is set in correspondence with a gray level value of the input image. The lookup table is accessed to read out color temperature correction data corresponding to the gray level value of the input image. The data lines are driven by the color temperature correction data.

  • Patent number: 7180538
Abstract: A DTV receiver test stream generator which prevents discontinuity phenomenon of a video and an audio, a method for generating the DTV receiver test stream, and a recording medium where the DTV test stream having no discontinuity phenomenon is recorded. To this end, a test stream for a function test or a performance valuation of the DTV receiver is generated and a reproduction time is equalized on the basis of the least common multiple of a video frame time, an audio frame time, and a TS packet time when the test stream is repeatedly reproduced. According to this, when used at a DTV production field where a test pattern is used or at a broadcasting system which repeatedly transmits the DTV stream of a limited length such as a stationary image, a reliability of the DTV receiver test can be ensured.
