    Abstract: The present invention relates to a recording medium and apparatus and method for managing a defective area of the recording medium. According to an embodiment, the method includes (a) determining whether there is an available replacement block in a spare area and a found defective block is controlled by a linear replacement algorithm; (b) managing a defective data block based on the determination, such that the defective data block is replaced with the replacement block of the spare area if there is the available replacement block and the found defective data block is controlled by the linear replacement algorithm; and (c) recording a defect list to the recording medium, wherein the defect list includes first position information specifying the location of defective data block, second position information specifying the location of replacement block and identification information specifying that the defective data block is replaced.

    Abstract: The present invention is directed to a lamination apparatus and a lamination method using the same. The lamination apparatus includes a process chamber and a pump connected with one side of the process chamber for making the interior of the process chamber a vacuum. The first and the second supply units supply a first and a second metal sheet, respectively. The injection unit injects a bonding material between the first and the second metal sheets supplied, and the bonding unit bonds the first and the second metal sheets with each other. According to the present invention, a bonding force of the bonding material may be enhanced and various kinds of bonding materials may be used.

Further, the tester may be remotely controlled on a web environment, as well as on a local area network linked to multiple workstations.     Abstract: An optical recording medium record/playback apparatus manages defective areas in a rewritable optical recording medium. A linear replacement control (LRC) bit is added to a secondary defective list (SDL) entry to discriminate defective block information listed in the SDL entry, according to a linear replacement algorithm, from defective block information listed at the SDL entry, according to a skipping algorithm. This allows the apparatus to transmit correct information to a host. When a defective block requiring a new replacement block is found during recording or playing back data and the spare area is full, instead of carrying out the linear replacement, the LRC bit is set in the SDL entry, along with the location information of the defective block. This indicates that the SDL entry was made when the spare area was full. Thus, data is not written in, or read from, the defective block.

New ER fluid comprising polyaniline-clay nanocomposite particles dispersed in a non-conductive medium shows that shear stress remains almost constant when increasing shear rate, as well as when being applied various electric fields, even in high shear region, and has a good thermal stability.
