  • Publication number: 20200216350
Abstract: Provided is a method for manufacturing a glass substrate, comprising steps of: cooling a glass substrate transported by a plurality of rollers rotating at a predetermined speed; predicting a crack defect rate of the glass substrate in accordance with a plurality of predictive factors related to crack defects of the glass substrate and rotational speed information of the respective rollers, in the transport process; and adjusting the rotational speed of each roller so that the crack defect rate of the glass substrate is lowered. Also provided is an apparatus for manufacturing a glass substrate, comprising a transport part for cooling a glass substrate transported by a plurality of rollers rotating at a predetermined speed, a prediction part for predicting a crack defect rate of the glass substrate through a partial least squares regression analysis, and a control part for controlling the rotation speed of each roller.

  • Patent number: 6133374
Abstract: A polypropylene resin composition comprises (1) 40 to 99% by weight of a polypropylene resin; (2) 1 to 60% by weight of an ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer elastomer; (3) 20 to 50 parts by weight of a low molecular weight polypropylene resin modified with unsaturated carboxylic acid or its anhydride, and (4) 0.1 to 20 parts by weight of an epoxy resin represented by the following chemical formula I: ##STR1## wherein n is an integer of 1 to 4 and A is a multivalent group having a bond number of n and is selected from bisphenol A-type ethers, propylene oxide-type ethers and ethylene oxide-type ethers, the components (3) and (4) being based on 100 parts by weight of the components (1) and (2) in total. The composition is suited for polypropylene materials to be painted, such as automobile bumpers, by virtue of its superior paint adhesion even under the condition of no pretreatments.

  • Patent number: 5676779
Abstract: A device for surface treating an alignment film used for forming a liquid crystal display comprising a glass substrate, an alignment film formed on a surface of the glass substrate, and a suspension in which the above alignment film is immersed, the suspension ball-type particles. In a first embodiment, a roller is adhered closely to the alignment film by the ball-type particles and is rotated in one direction by power applied from outside to form a plurality of gullies on the surface of the above alignment film. In other embodiments, a circular rotational body or a conical rotational body is adhered closely to the alignment film to provide a fixed shear rate between the suspension and the alignment film by rotational movement in one direction to form a plurality of circular gullies on the surface of the alignment film by the ball-type particles.
