  • Patent number: 7035920
Abstract: A method for remote execution of software. A device manager instantiates a WMI CreateProcess object on a managed device which will call an executable residing on the device manager. The process is started, calling an executable on the device manager. The executable on the device manager is called and launched on the managed device. The executable starts and finishes on the managed device.

  • Publication number: 20040039988
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for facilitating auto-completion of user data input in a web page. The method includes receiving, during execution time of the web page, first user data input in a first data input field of the web page. The method also includes analyzing, during the execution time, the first user data input to ascertain among plurality of dictionary objects a first dictionary object. The first dictionary object represents a dictionary object from which candidate matches against the first user data input would be presented to a user of the web page. The plurality of dictionary objects are associated with the first data input field during build time of the web page. The method additionally includes matching at least a portion of the first user data input against members of the first dictionary object to obtain a first list of candidate matches. The method further includes presenting the first list of candidate matches to the user of the web page.

  • Publication number: 20040031029
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for updating a plurality of software components disposed on a plurality of networked devices, the plurality of networked devices being interconnected in a computer network. The method includes ascertaining from a database first update parameters associated with a first networked device of the plurality of networked devices. The method also includes sending via the network the first update parameters to a first local update agent disposed at the first networked device. The method further includes obtaining, using the first local update agent and the first update parameters, a first update file for updating software in the first networked device. Additionally, the method includes updating, using the first local update agent and the first update file, the software in the first networked device.

  • Patent number: 6639512
Abstract: A system used to protect the occupants of a stationary motor vehicle, particularly unattended children and pets, from dangerous conditions occurring within the vehicle. The system comprises a sensor which senses dangerous environmental conditions such as high temperatures within the vehicle. In the preferred embodiment, the sensor is used with a transmitter to continuously transmit sound detected within the vehicle passenger compartment as well as transmitting information about any dangerous conditions which occur to a remotely located person. In a second embodiment, dangerous conditions trigger an alarm attached to the vehicle. The alarm amplifies the sound detected within the vehicle, such as a crying child, or a barking dog, and also produces a standard alarm sound alternated with an amplified voice declaring the dangerous condition.

  • Patent number: 4670297
Abstract: A first masking layer of a first resist is provided over a semiconductor substrate and is patterned in a selected region to provide a masked region over which an airbridge interconnect will be provided. A second relatively thick layer of a second, different type of resist and a third relatively thin layer of resist are provided, respectively, over the substrate. The second and third layers of resist are patterned to provide an aperture having overhanging portions exposing the previously applied patterned regions of the first layer, and selected adjacent portions of the substrate. The second and third layers may also be patterned to provide a region for a patterned strip conductor. A stream of evaporated metal is directed towards the substrate and deposited within the apertures to provide an airbridge interconnect conductor and patterned strip conductor.
