  • Patent number: 7848752
Abstract: Disclosed is a handoff processing method capable of restarting fast communications. The handoff processing method stores in a handoff buffer Host Control Interface (HCI) data and transmission data upon communications in a state where an Access Point is interlinked with an external device. Further, the method forwards the HCI data and the transmission data buffered in the handoff buffer to a new Access Point (AP) transmitting a message indicating setup completion of a connection if the message indicating setup completion of a connection with the external device is transmitted from the new AP after a handoff occurs as the external device moves. Accordingly, throughputs are not lowered despite handoff occurrences in poor wireless channel environments, so that service quality can be enhanced.

  • Patent number: 7369565
Abstract: A wireless communication system has a queue information search unit for searching a queue-status information provided in a packet unit, a communication priority decision unit for deciding communication priority of external devices based on the queue-status information, giving a higher priority to the external device having a greater number of packets in queues, a communication initiation unit for initiating a communication with the external devices according to the communication priority, a counter for counting the number of times that the communication is initiated for each of the external devices, and a comparator for comparing a counter value of a first external device that corresponds to a transmitted data with a counter value of a second external device that has a maximum counter value. Accordingly, when the wireless communication device transmits and receives data with respect to the plural wireless communication devices, both high throughput and high fairness can be guaranteed.

  • Publication number: 20040142690
Abstract: Disclosed is a wireless communication system capable of minimizing the hand-off throughput for wireless communication systems. The wireless communication system according to the present invention includes a first communication device for carrying out an inquiry and paging with respect to a wireless communication device located within a communication allowance range, and starting a connection with the wireless communication device; and a second communication device for receiving and transmitting data with the wireless communication device when the wireless communication device connected with the first communication device is cut off by a hard hand-off.

  • Patent number: 5781491
Abstract: Disclosed is a semiconductor memory device capable of reducing power consumption. The semiconductor memory device according to the present invention divides a memory cell array into at least one cell array blocks and applies different voltage levels to the cell array blocks through a voltage divider. Accordingly, a voltage difference between a supply voltage level of each of the cell array blocks and a ground voltage level of each of the cell array blocks is (1/N)* Vdd voltage.
