  • Patent number: 8436716
Abstract: A method of upgrading an operation program in an interrogator of a radio frequency identification (RFID) system including the interrogator and a transponder is provided. The method includes transmitting, from the interrogator to the transponder, a first message requesting an operation program upgrade based on information exchanged between the interrogator and the transponder; receiving, at the interrogator from the transponder, a second message that includes a new-version operation program in response to the first message; and installing, at the interrogator, the new-version operation program to upgrade the operation program in the interrogator.

  • Patent number: 7992009
Abstract: A method of verifying programming of an integrated circuit card includes transferring program data to a page buffer of a non-volatile memory, copying the program data to a buffer memory, calculating a first checksum value with respect to program data in the buffer memory, updating the program data in the buffer memory by copying the program data of the page buffer to the buffer memory, calculating a second checksum value with respect to updated program data in the buffer memory, comparing the first checksum value and the second checksum value, and determining, based on the comparison result, whether the program data of the page buffer is tampered.

  • Patent number: 7831763
Abstract: A security apparatus for a nonvolatile memory includes a nonvolatile memory, a working buffer temporality storing a predetermined unit output from the nonvolatile memory, a checksum buffer storing a checksum of at least one unit output from the nonvolatile memory, and a read verification engine controlling storing of a unit output from the nonvolatile memory corresponding to a read signal that is externally input, in the working buffer. The read verification engine calculates a checksum of the unit corresponding to the read signal stored in the working buffer and compares a calculated checksum with a checksum of the unit corresponding to the read signal stored in the checksum buffer.

  • Patent number: 7172129
Abstract: An integrated circuit card of the present disclosure is provided, which includes an input/output block for receiving external command data, a central processing unit for performing a task corresponding to the received command data, and a judgment block for judging whether a working time of the central processing unit reaches a reference time, after an input of the external command data is completed, where a control block operates responsive to an output of the judgment block and controls such that procedure data is output via the input/output block without intervention by the central processing unit whenever the working time of the central processing unit reaches the reference time.

  • Publication number: 20040096059
Abstract: An encryption apparatus comprises first and second N-round DES devices and first and second input circuits. The first N-round DES device cryptographically converts a digital input data block into a first digital output data block nonlinearly, based on an input of a set of encryption keys. The first input means receives and inverts the digital input data block. The second input means receives and inverts the set of encryption keys. The second N-round DES device cryptographically converts the inverted digital input data block into a second digital output data block nonlinearly, based on an input of the inverted encryption keys. The first and second N-round DES devices perform a cryptographic conversion process at the same.
