    Abstract: An apparatus and method for supplying information so that power consumption in a digital broadcast receiving terminal can be reduced and a user can use an appropriate antenna depending on a situation. The digital broadcast receiving terminal includes an external antenna detachably assembled with the outside of the terminal a switch unit for selecting any one among the internal antennas and the external antenna, and a signal-receiving condition sensing unit capable of sensing the signal-receiving condition of the internal antennas and the external antenna. If it is impossible to receive the digital broadcast signal by using the internal antennas, the external antenna is used. If the external antenna is mounted, power is supplied only to an RF unit connected to the external antenna and the power supply to the remaining RF unit is cut off, reducing power consumption.

The administration center controls the repeater based on the received performance information transmitted from the terminal. The repeater adjusts transmission signal intensity or a transmission angle based on a control signal transmitted from the administration center.

    Abstract: An apparatus and method for enabling a user to view a multimedia broadcasting, especially for processing a multimedia audio signal when a voice call is requested during the multimedia broadcasting. In the mobile terminal, an RF module converts a received RF signal for a voice call to a coded signal. An audio processor converts the coded signal to an electrical voice signal and outputs it through a speaker. A demultiplexer receives a digital multimedia signal and separates it into an audio signal and a video signal. A decoder decodes the audio and video signals and provides the decoded audio signal to the speaker and the decoded video signal to a display. A controller discontinues decoding the audio signal and outputs the voice signal from the audio processor through the speaker, if a voice call request is generated during receiving of the digital multimedia signal.

    Abstract: An apparatus and a method capable of receiving digital broadcasting without image discontinuity during channel switching. A digital multimedia broadcasting receiver buffers a previous channel while a new channel is buffered in a deinterleaver, thereby preventing image discontinuity during channel switching. The digital broadcasting receiver receives and deinterleaves broadcast data of a channel to be changed and stores the deinterleaved broadcast data in a buffer when a broadcast channel change is requested. The digital broadcasting receiver outputs and displays broadcast data of an initial channel stored in the buffer and stops output of the broadcast data of the initial channel and outputs the broadcast data of the channel to be changed, when the broadcast data of the channel to be changed are stored in the buffer by a predetermined buffering size.

A shift register having a plurality of registers shifts the data output from the first integrator. A second integrator integrates the data generated at once from the respective registers of the shift register. A delay means delays the input signal for a predetermined time, and a multiplier multiplies the delayed input signal by an output of the second integrator in order to generate the compensated signal. The delay device delays the input signal by a time required for the input signal to reach a central register of the shift register through the first integrator.
