  • Patent number: 10644316
Abstract: The present invention provides an anode slurry for a secondary battery and an anode comprising the same, in which the dispersibility of an anode active material is improved by increasing the adsorption amount of CMC with respect to the anode active material by adjusting the degree of substitution or physical properties such as molecular weight, and a CMC blend amount is reduced so as to increase the slurry solid content and reduce the resistance of a battery.

  • Publication number: 20200067070
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a secondary battery using lithium metal as a negative electrode, and more particularly, a method of manufacturing a secondary battery capable of removing an oxide film formed on a lithium metal by performing some initial discharges during the initial period of the activation process to thereby improve the cycling performance of the battery by allowing lithium to be uniformly precipitated. The result minimizes the reduction of ion conductivity by removing the oxide film formed on the surface of the lithium metal through the initial partial discharge and improves the battery cycle performance since the precipitation reaction of lithium becomes uniform.

  • Publication number: 20200058931
Abstract: A 3-dimensional (3D) pattern puncher for punching a lithium metal electrode to provide one or more unit electrodes is provided. The 3D pattern puncher includes a mold punch configured to move up and down, the mold punch corresponding to a size of the unit electrode; a die corresponding to the mold punch; a mold blade disposed at an edge of the mold punch and configured to punch the lithium metal electrode to provide the one or more unit electrodes; and a 3D pattern positioned at an inner portion of the mold punch where the mold blade is not disposed.

  • Publication number: 20190386315
Abstract: A lithium electrode including: a lithium metal layer; an aluminum oxide layer on the lithium metal layer; and a carbon layer on the aluminum oxide layer, and a lithium secondary battery including the same. The aluminum oxide layer can prevent a direct reaction between a non-aqueous electrolyte and a lithium metal layer, and particularly, since the aluminum oxide layer does not have electrical conductivity, lithium deposition occurs between the lithium metal layer and aluminum oxide layer. Thus lithium metal is not deposited on the protection layer. In addition, the carbon layer functions for producing a stable solid electrolyte interface film thereon.

  • Patent number: 10497930
Abstract: The present invention relates to a negative electrode including a multi-protective layer and a lithium secondary battery including the same, and the multi-protective layer prevents lithium dendrite growth on a surface of the electrode, and does not cause overpotential during charge and discharge since the protective layer itself does not function as a resistive layer, and therefore, is capable of preventing battery performance decline and securing stability when operating a battery.
