  • Patent number: 8290872
Abstract: An apparatus and method are disclosed for protecting the transmission of communication content transmitted between client and server, where a server comprises an application program which delivers a key distribution command if a request for content is received from a client, and transmits the content to the client if key distribution is completed. An encryption key management module creates and provides an encryption key. A near field communication (NFC) module performs key distribution by transmitting the encryption key created in the encryption key management module to a near field communication (NFC) module of the client. An encryption/decryption module encrypts the contents by using the encryption key. A Bluetooth module transmits the encrypted contents to a Bluetooth module of the client.

  • Patent number: 8238288
Abstract: A duplicate detection method is disclosed for reducing redundant traffic in an ad hoc network. The duplicate detection method of the present invention includes receiving a first packet having a content identifier and a subcontent identifier, storing the content identifier and the subcontent identifier of the first packet, receiving a second packet, extracting a content identifier from the second packet, determining whether the content identifiers of the first and second packets are identical, extracting, when the content identifiers are identical, a subcontent identifier from the second packet, determining whether the subcontent identifiers of the first and second packets are identical, determining, when the subcontent identifiers of the first and second packets are identical, the second packet is a duplicate of the first packet.

  • Publication number: 20080262922
Abstract: The present invention relates to digital rights management (DRM) contents having a teaser section, a method for generating a teaser advertisement and a method for providing content. Data in the teaser section of a DRM content can be played without a license. A teaser advertisement can be easily created for a DRM content using the teaser section. The present invention can be applied to advertisement for and distribution of both DRM-protected contents and unprotected contents.

  • Publication number: 20080080719
Abstract: A stereo support system and method for a mobile terminal are disclosed. The stereo support method uses a sound generation device having a sound generation main unit and a sound generation sub-unit to play a first audio material selected in a mobile terminal, and comprises: generating a second audio material by modifying phase or play-time properties of the first audio material; and streaming the first audio material to the sound generation main unit and the second audio material to the sound generation sub-unit. As a result, the user of a mobile terminal can enjoy stereo sounds using a monaural headset.

  • Publication number: 20080004041
Abstract: A method and apparatus for confirming a location of a lost wireless terminal is provided. A location confirmation request of the lost wireless terminal is received by a mobile communication network and identification information of the lost wireless terminal is transmitted to wireless terminals which have joined a location confirmation service of the lost wireless terminal. The wireless terminal which has joined the service searches for a wireless terminal corresponding to identification information coinciding with the identification information of the lost wireless terminal. The wireless terminal which has joined the service transmits a location of the previously searched for lost wireless terminal to the mobile communication network. The mobile communication network manages the received location of the lost wireless terminal.
