  • Patent number: 10472021
Abstract: A foldable canoe comprising includes: a gunwale formed around the hull, the hull formed of an elongate sheet of synthetic material having multiple folds including at least one longitudinal and one or more horizontal folds, with the hull configured to be folded into a stored configuration along the folds of the elongate sheet; one or more ribs installed across a width of the hull; and a gunwale cap formed of a plurality of adjoining gunwale sections, wherein each of the plurality of adjoining gunwale sections is removably secured to adjacent gunwale sections. In a deployed configuration the plurality of adjoining gunwale sections are joined such that the gunwale cap maintains a shape of the gunwale of the hull, and wherein in a stored configuration the plurality of adjoining gunwale sections are separated such that the gunwale cap is folded into a stowed configuration.

  • Patent number: 9815523
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a foldable canoe. More particularly, the foldable canoe is configured such that it is constructed by folding a single synthetic resin sheet along a folding line without using a separate structural frame, and after the use of the canoe, the synthetic resin sheet can be completely folded along the folding line to form a compact shape, thus reducing the volume and length of the canoe, thereby facilitating transportation and storage of the canoe.

  • Patent number: 8641073
Abstract: Disclosed herein is an apparatus for adjusting the height of a saddle for a bicycle. The apparatus includes a saddle lift device that moves the saddle upwards or downwards to adjust the height of the saddle, and a controller that controls the operation of the saddle lift device. In the present invention, even when a bicycle is traveling, the height of the saddle can be automatically adjusted to an appropriate height depending on the travel conditions, thus enhancing the safety of a rider and providing convenience. Moreover, the present invention stores information about the body type of the rider and automatically adjusts the height of the saddle to a height suitable for the body type, thus making it markedly easy to adjust the height of the saddle, and enhancing the safety of the rider while riding the bicycle.

  • Publication number: 20120283057
Abstract: The present invention relates to an automatic transmission for a bicycle, including: a front sprocket unit coupled to pedals; a rear sprocket unit mounted to a rear wheel; and a drive chain, extremities of which are wound around one sprocket of the front sprocket unit and around one sprocket of the rear sprocket unit, respectively, whereby the torque and speed of the bicycle can be changed in accordance with the combination of the diameters of the sprockets. The front sprocket unit receives a rotating force, and rotates in a direction that propels a bicycle body having pedals forward, but does not receive a rotating force in a direction opposite the rotating direction. The automatic transmission of the present invention can automatically perform a gear-shifting operation without forcing a rider to work the pedals while riding, yet changing the torque and speed of the bicycle.

  • Publication number: 20110114596
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a bottle having a neck portion and a body portion for containing liquid contents therein. The body portion includes a plurality of guides which are formed around at least a partial area or an entire area of the body portion in a spiral pattern. The guides protrude inwards from the inner surface of the body portion to have convex shapes, so that the liquid contents are guided towards an opening of the neck portion while spirally revolving inside the body portion, and the body portion is able to be compressed by compression force with respect to a longitudinal direction. A cross-section of each of the plurality of guides has an angled shape of “>” or “<”, and an outermost midpoint (c) of a horizontal medial line of the guide has a round shape, a pointed shape or a vertically angled shape.
