  • Patent number: 9197573
Abstract: An apparatus and method is provided for controlling data transmission considering congestion in a wired transmission section in a wireless communication system. To this end, a reception device reports, to a transmission device, status information about a congestion status and flag information indicating occurrence of a new congestion status or maintenance of an existing congestion statue. The transmission device reduces throughput of data being transmitted through the wired transmission section, if it is determined from the flag information reported by the reception device that a new congestion status has occurred or the existing congestion status has been being maintained for a predetermined time. The transmission device requests the reception device to report a congestion status, if the congestion status is not released until a lapse of a predetermined time after occurrence of a new congestion status.

  • Patent number: 8710760
Abstract: A power supply apparatus for LED is provided. The power supply apparatus for LED includes a transformer, a first output unit, and a second output unit. The transformer includes a primary winding, a secondary winding receiving a power induced from the primary winding, and a tertiary winding receiving the power induced from the primary winding. The first output unit is connected to the secondary winding of the transformer, and outputs a first power current to an LED in a first operating condition. The second output unit is connected to the tertiary winding of the transformer, and outputs a second power current to the LED in a second operating condition. When the LED is connected to the power supply apparatus for LED, the power supply apparatus allows a current equal to or less than a predetermined current to flow in the LED, thereby protecting the LED from an overcurrent.

  • Patent number: 6027971
Abstract: Methods of forming memory device having protected gate electrodes include the steps of forming protection layers on gate electrodes, word lines and related structures and then using these protected structures as etching and implantation masks to reliably form semiconductor regions in a substrate. In particular, methods of forming integrated circuit memory devices preferably include the steps of patterning a field oxide isolation region at a face of a semiconductor substrate to define an active region therein and then forming a gate electrode of a memory device on the active region. Word lines are also formed on the gate electrode and on the field oxide isolation region. A first protection layer, comprising a material which can preferably be used as a selective etching mask, is also formed on an upper surface of the word line to protect the word line. The field oxide isolation region, which may be a relatively thick silicon dioxide layer, is then preferably etched to expose the face of the substrate.
