Abstract: A method of mounting a bus-bar frame includes: forming a plurality of cell lead blocks and a battery cell stacked body by alternately stacking a cell lead block and at least one battery cell; disposing a top cover with respective ends on which a bus-bar frame is installed so as to cover the battery cell stacked body; removing the lead blocks from a space between the battery cell stacked body and the bus-bar frame; and installing the bus-bar frame on the battery cell stacked body by rotating the bus-bar frame. The alternately stacking of the cell lead block and the at least one battery cell includes positioning an electrode lead protruding from each battery cell between neighboring ones of the cell lead blocks.

Abstract: A secondary battery including: a battery unit including a battery cell and a lead tab that protrudes from the battery cell; a frame case for supporting the battery unit and including a first support portion for supporting the battery cell and a second support portion for supporting the lead tab; and a connection member for perforating a connection hole formed in the lead tab and extending in a direction of the second support unit, wherein the connection hole of the lead tab includes: a first connection hole that is spaced apart from a first edge of the lead tab by a first width; and a second connection hole that is spaced apart from a second edge of the lead tab by a second width. The secondary battery may reduce electrical resistance of a charge/discharge path and has improved efficiency.

Abstract: Provided is a battery pack with improved heat dissipation efficiency. The battery pack includes a holder case, and a plurality of batteries disposed inside the holder case. The holder case includes a plurality of ribs disposed inside the holder case. Each of the ribs has a column extending in a direction substantially parallel to a side surface of the holder case, and each of the batteries is accommodated between the columns of the ribs. The column has a heat dissipation hole therein extending along the extension direction of the column. An air flow is formed through the heat dissipation hole, and heat generated during a charge and/or discharge operation dissipates through the air flow in the heat dissipation hole. A portion of the columns are separated from each other forming a gap. The heat generated from the batteries also dissipates through this gap.

Abstract: A battery pack includes a bare cell including an electrode assembly arranged within a can having an opening that is sealed by a cap plate, a protective circuit module (PCM) arranged on the cap plate, a lead member connecting the PCM to the cap plate; a coupling member inserted into the cap plate and coupled to the lead member. The coupling member is made out of a different material than that of the cap plate, each of the coupling member and the lead member include nickel. By including such a coupling member, the strength and durability of the weld connecting the cap plate to the PCM is improved and the contact resistance is lowered.
