  • Publication number: 20130238111
Abstract: A method, system, and apparatus for intelligent application of a finishing process a surface of a housing is described. In one embodiment, at least a portion of the surface of the housing is imaged. In one embodiment, the image can be rendered using an optical imager such as a standard or high definition camera. In one embodiment, multiple cameras can be used to assist in defining location, size, and depth of surface defects. In one embodiment, an optical imaging device can be used to image surface defects under wet conditions where the surface of the housing is covered with a layer of slurry.

  • Patent number: 7119566
Abstract: A test probe alignment apparatus includes a rotatable ? stage that is decoupled from a workpiece positioning stage so that the workpiece positioning stage can move a workpiece in an X-Y plane without moving the ? stage, thereby inhibiting vibration in and inertia of the workpiece positioning stage, and improving the speed and accuracy of workpiece movements. The ? stage is driven for rotation about an axis substantially perpendicular to the X-Y plane. The rotatable stage supports a carriage adapted for holding a probe card. The carriage rotates in concert with the ? stage to thereby align the probe card relative to the workpiece. A Z-stage is operatively engaged with the carriage for moving the carriage along the axis of rotation relative to the workpiece. A computer processor performs coordinate transformations on preprogrammed movement vectors, to adjust for angular misalignment of the workpiece as measured by a position sensor.

  • Patent number: 5446459
Abstract: This invention relates to a broad bandwidth electromagnetic wave absorber comprising a sintered ferrite and a CuO--Fe.sub.2 O.sub.3 system. The CuO--Fe.sub.2 O.sub.3 system, a spinel ferrite, has its own magnetic property, which makes it possible to be used for an electromagnetic wave absorber. The CuO--Fe.sub.2 O.sub.3 system is preferentially located at the grain boundary in the matrix ferrite. This resulted in increase in the total loss, decrease in matching thickness and shift in the center frequency.

  • Patent number: 5323160
Abstract: Ferrites as an electromagnetic wave absorber have their unique attenuation ranges depending on their compositions. The possibility of controlling attenuation characteristics of ferrite absorber by forming laminates of ferrite is disclosed. This invention provides that the center frequency of laminated ferrites could be changed arbitrarily employing ferrite with different composition and thickness. The method consists of stacking at least two soft ferrite layers (Ni-Zn, Mn-Zn) with various thickness.
