    Abstract: A liquid toner for electrophotography and a method of preparing the liquid toner are disclosed. The liquid toner includes a carrier liquid, an organosol, a colorant, a charge controlling agent (CCA), and (meth)acrylic (co)polymer soluble in the carrier liquid. The liquid toner has a low solidification rate and good redispersion when left for a long period of time, especially at a high temperature for a long period of time, while maintaining the existing physical properties of a liquid toner, such as image density, at certain levels.

    Abstract: Core-shell latex polymer is produced that includes a crystalline polymer. The core-shell latex polymer includes the crystalline polymer, a base monomer, a dispersing agent, an initiator and distilled water. The crystalline polymer serves as the core of the resulting polymer particle. The core-shell latex polymer including the crystalline polymer having a low melting point is used in a toner. A latex polymer including a releasing agent is easily prepared without using high temperatures or a high speed dispersing device. The crystalline polymer efficiently coagulates with other particles in the toner. In addition, the fixing temperature may be reduced when the toner is used in an image forming device.

    Abstract: A method of preparing toner, is provided by preparing a stabilizer dispersion solution using distilled water and a dispersing agent; forming droplets by discharging the toner composition including at least one polymerizable monomer, a colorant, wax, and an initiator into the stabilizer dispersion solution through a syringe needle; forming core particles by warming the droplets dispersed in the stabilizer dispersion solution; and forming shells by adding a polymerizable monomer, a cross-linking agent, and an initiator to the core particles. The diameter of particles of the toner can be efficiently adjusted by changing the manufacturing process of the polymerization toner. The distribution of the toner particle diameter is improved and thus no additional sorting process is required. Also, the transferring performance of the toner can be improved, and various colors can be realized by a simple process.

The storage stabilizer is a metal salt of a metal cation and an organic anion having 15 to 30 carbon atoms. The liquid ink composition is produced by a method of adding the storage stabilizer in an effective amount to improve the dispersibility and storage stability at high temperatures without deteriorating the electrical property and the optical density of the liquid ink composition.
