  • Publication number: 20250033038
Abstract: A device includes a substrate, and one or more structures. At least a portion of a bottom surface of the one or more structures is coupled to the substrate, and the one or more structures include a first portion defining a first reservoir and a second portion defining a second reservoir that is in communication with the first reservoir via one or more channels defined at least between the substrate and the one or more structures. The second portion of the one or more structures does not include a non-rounded corner that extends continuously from the substrate to a top surface of the one or more structures.

  • Publication number: 20240368510
Abstract: A device includes a substrate having a top surface and a bottom surface opposite to the top surface; a first microfluidic channel and a second microfluidic channel defined on the substrate. The second microfluidic channel is distinct from the first microfluidic channel, and is in contact with, and substantially parallel to, the first microfluidic channel. A method for forming an endothelialized microchannel, a method for forming a vascularized spheroid, and a method for forming a vascularized organoid are also described.

  • Patent number: 8857269
Abstract: A system and method of varying the flow rate of fluid from a medical pump through tubing includes determining an inner diameter of the tubing and fluid flow velocity of fluid in the tubing with a controller based on acoustic signals received by a capacitive micromachined ultrasonic transducer sensor system and then determining and adjusting a fluid flow rate of fluid in the tubing with the controller. In addition, the same sensor system also detects air bubbles in the fluid in the tubing.
