  • Publication number: 20100281842
Abstract: Composite yarns have a filamentary core provided with at least one elastic performance filament and at least one inelastic control filament. A fibrous sheath, preferably formed from spun staple fibers, surrounds the filamentary core, preferably substantially along the entire length thereof. The at least one elastic performance filament most preferably includes a spandex and/or a lastol filament. The at least one inelastic control filament is most preferably formed of a textured polymer or copolymer of a polyamide, a polyester, a polyolefin and mixtures thereof. Preferably, the fibrous sheath is formed of synthetic and/or natural staple fibers, most preferably staple cotton fibers. The elastic composite fibers find particular utility as a component part of a woven textile fabric, especially as a stretch denim fabric, which exhibits advantageous elastic recovery of at least about 95.0% (ASTM D3107).

  • Publication number: 20100279764
Abstract: Described herein are processes and devices that determine and assign rewards as a group in a wagering game system utilizing social contacts. One of the devices described herein, a wagering game system, determines a first player account associated with a wagering game and looks at the first player account to determine a second player account associated with the first player account as a social network contact. The first player account and the second player account comprise a group of members in a group game or challenge. The wagering game system determines a reward that can be assigned to the group members. The wagering game system determines one or more tasks that must be performed before assigning the reward. The wagering game system presents the one or more tasks to the group members. The wagering game system detects when the tasks are completed and assigns the reward to the group members.

  • Publication number: 20100276650
Abstract: A device in the form of a fabric tape (13) or a rope (14) is used to pull a cable or the like into a conduit (10). A plurality of spaced plastic buttons (16) are attached to at least one side of the tape (13) or spaced plastic rings (19) are attached to the rope (14). Thus, the buttons (16) or rings (19) have a coefficient of friction less than that of the tape (13) or rope (14), respectively, and present a smaller outer surface area than the tape (17) or rope (14) so that the tape (13) or rope (14) can more easily pull the cable into the conduit (10).

  • Patent number: 7827400
Abstract: A system and method for establishing a mutually authenticated secure link between a mobile platform system and a remote system is provided. An onboard computer system (OCS) generates a dynamic certificate and digitally signs the dynamic certificate with a static certificate. The dynamic certificate is transmitted to a remote central computer system (CCS). The CCS verifies that the dynamic certificate is from a trusted source and sends a return dynamic certificate electronically signed with the static certificate to the OCS. The OCS verifies the return dynamic certificate is from the CCS, thereby establishing a mutually authenticated secure link between the OCS and the CCS.

  • Patent number: 7822985
Abstract: A method for real-time validation of an electronically signature generated onboard a mobile system. The method includes maintaining a ground mobile user account management (GMUAM) module user database to have up-to-date authorized user account information. The GMUAM is hosted by a stationary central computer system (CCS). The method additionally includes transferring the up-to-date authorized user account information stored on the GMUAM user database to a mobile user account management (MUAM) module user database, thereby updating the MUAM user data base with up-to-date authorized user account information. The MUAM module is included in an onboard computer system (OCS) hosted by the mobile system. The method further includes evoking a signature validator module communicatively connected to the MUAM module to access the MUAM database and verify whether user account information included in an electronic signature initiated by a secure data application (SDA) is authorized user account information.

  • Patent number: 7809928
Abstract: One embodiment of an instruction decoder includes an instruction parser configured to process a first non-operative instruction and to generate a first event signal corresponding to the first non-operative instruction, and a first event multiplexer configured to receive the first event signal from the instruction parser, to select the first event signal from one or more event signals and to transmit the first event signal to an event logic block. The instruction decoder may be implemented in a multithreaded processing unit, such as a shader unit, and the occurrences of the first event signal may be tracked when one or more threads are executed within the processing unit. The resulting event signal count may provide a designer with a better understanding of the behavior of a program, such as a shader program, executed within the processing unit, thereby facilitating overall processing unit and program design.

  • Patent number: 7749084
Abstract: The present invention is direct to a Live Network Explorer (LNE) which allows users to graphically navigate through a web of interconnected friends on a gaming console. The LNE provides a real-time graphical representation of friend-of-friend relationships, with the currently-viewed user as a visual node in the screen center. The center node is surrounded by nodes representing that user's friends. Real-time animation is used to represent transitions as the user navigates from person to person. The LNE also represents groups as a visual node in this graphically interconnected web so that the user can travel to a group that a person belongs to, and can see all the people inside the group by connections. The user can navigate to any of these people in the group. The user can click on a person to bring up their digital identity details.
