Abstract: A method and apparatus of treating an addiction is provided. The method includes evaluating the individual to determine the individual's needs. An individual admitted to the program undergoes a supervised treatment protocol that may include education and initial treatment, group therapy, and relapse prevention. There may also be a maintenance protocol following completion of the treatment protocol. In the case where the individual has been arrested for a crime, the supervision may include detention and probation aided by accountability devices.
