The assemblies maintain the general shapes of carabiners rather than those of conventional versions of the incorporated components. Included among the incorporated components may be light sources, knife blades, compasses, can or bottle openers, and watches, for example, although other components may be incorporated instead.

Abstract: Eye masks having nose- and ear-pieces similar to those of conventional spectacles and sunglasses are described. Such masks include eye-covering regions of opaque material but need not include elastic bands, adhesive, or loops to retain the regions in place while in use. The masks additionally may be made of one-piece construction if desired, molded of plastic or other suitable material into a unitary body.

Typically having a laterally asymmetric shackle, the lock includes an arm connected thereto so as to pivot when the locking mechanism is disengaged. A spring or other component facilitates latching of the device by biasing the arm toward an exposed end of the shackle.

Abstract: A device for illuminating and magnifying printed cards for viewing. A body of the device has a hollow central region with hollow, opposed sides. At least one pair of slots near a floor of the hollow central region receives at least one printed card, with a magnifying lens mounted in an upper region of the hollow central region. A separate enclosure having an illumination bulb mounted therein is provided in one of the hollow sides, with batteries mounted in another hollow side. An opening in the enclosure passes light across the central region, providing indirect illumination of the card.
