Patent number: 12240710Abstract: An apparatus and method for handling portable traffic delineators includes a lifting arm assembly and a gripper assembly arranged to move portable traffic delineators between a cargo platform on a vehicle and a road surface. The gripper assembly has guide rails that define a V-shaped receiving structure with rollers to guide and center the portable traffic delineators within the V-shaped receiving structure. The gripper assembly also has suction cups arranged to pivot into and out of the V-shaped receiving structure for applying a suction force to the outer surface of the portable traffic delineators received in the V-shaped receiving structure. A programmable controller is used to perform a sequence of movements of the lifting arm assembly and the gripper assembly to either retrieve portable traffic delineators from a roadway or place portable traffic delineators on the roadway when the portable traffic delineators are detected within the V-shaped receiving structure.Type: GrantFiled: November 30, 2021Date of Patent: March 4, 2025Inventor: Bryan L Hayes

Intelligent systems for identifying transactions associated with an institution impacted by an event
Patent number: 11238459Abstract: A transaction processing system capable of processing transactions and implementing a flexible circuit breaker process during an event. A circuit breaker module initiates a circuit breaker event (CBE), an account identification module identifies one or more affected account IDs, and a rule generation module generates conditional rules for evaluating each transaction presented to a transaction processing module. If a transaction presented to the transaction processing module satisfies the conditional rule, the transaction is not processed. Transactions not processed are stored in memory and groups of impacted transactions are assigned to resource modules based on common characteristics. The resource module determines if impacted transactions should be allowed to process.Type: GrantFiled: January 7, 2020Date of Patent: February 1, 2022Assignee: Bank of America CorporationInventors: Terry L. Patent number: 10787335Abstract: The current disclosure involves the arrangement and efficient deployment of self-adhering flexible sheet material in individual segments to encircle a bale of harvested material and isolate it from the wind, precipitation, and other elements as it remains in the field following the formation of the bale attendant with harvesting of the crop, until collected for further processing. For use with harvested crops such as cotton or hay, the individual wrapping segments further comprise adhering members, which cause a portion of a wrapping segment, generally found at what is considered a trailing end during a wrapping cycle, to releasably attach to adhering members on an opposite surface of the same wrapping segment.Type: GrantFiled: July 5, 2019Date of Patent: September 29, 2020Assignee: L.P. The data storage is provided with at least one 3-dimensional building model having a geographical identifier. The method also includes receiving at least one GNSS position signal. The method further includes calculating an approximate position based on the at least one GNSS position signal and that a respective GNSS position signal of the at least one GNSS position signal is a non-line-of-sight signal. The method further includes calculating, based on the building model and the respective GNSS position signal, a modeled position, and refining the modeled position based on a current heading and speed of the positioning receiver and a carrier-phase of the at least one GNSS position signal. The method still further includes calculating a final position based on the approximate position, the modeled position, and the refining step.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 23, 2019Publication date: July 23, 2020Inventors: Rakesh Kumar, CURTIS L. Patent number: 10710786Abstract: Improved object wrapping materials exhibiting a number of beneficial properties to overcome prior deficiencies are provided. Such properties include the inclusion of a separation interface overlay that allows for greater rigidity at the leading and trailing edges of such wraps. Also, the inclusion of shear-reducing wrap material portions is described, as well as recoil reduction structures within the leading edge regions. Furthermore, core adhesive additions allow for greater resiliency to the base wrap material as it unwinds therefrom, reducing potential waste wrap products by permitting greater amounts of wrap materials in use. Other considerations include the ability, through proper configuration designs, to position a wrap separation indicator within a certain range of distances from the trailing edge, thereby providing greater reliability of wrap application device disengagement during wrap application.Type: GrantFiled: December 14, 2017Date of Patent: July 14, 2020Assignee: L.P. BROWN COMPANY, INC.Inventors: Kenneth L. Porter, James L. Hayes
