  • Patent number: 11002013
Abstract: A high strength, low density modular columnar structure. In the preferred embodiment, each module is a prism or cuboid having three or four vertical rectangular sides which meet in the module corners. The module ends perpendicular to the sides are the module faces. At least one face has a brace panel. The brace panels and the face are preferably the same shape, but off-set. A plurality of preferably triangular brace arms extends to the module corners. Each brace panel is preferably provided with a centrally located aperture. The lower face of each module is preferably provided with a lip, while the upper face is configured to receive the lip. A cylindrical column extends vertically through the center of each module, and a plurality of struts extends radially from each column. A stack of modules may be secured with a bolt run through the module apertures, an adhesive, or simply gravity.

  • Patent number: 10160141
Abstract: The present invention general related to a mold for making a contact lens comprises a first mold half having a first mold surface in contact with a polymerizable and/or crosslinkable silicone containing lens forming composition and a second mold half having a second mold surface in contact with the lens-forming composition, and the first mold half and the second mold half are configured to receive each other such that a cavity is formed between the first mold surface and the second mold surface. The cavity defines the shape of a contact lens to be molded. At least one of the mold halves is made from a sulfur containing polymer having a refraction index greater than 1.5. The dimension stability of the plastic mold can be improved.

  • Patent number: 9907388
Abstract: A strap member includes a first primary strap including a first notch formed along its inner edge and a second primary strap includes a second notch formed along its inner edge, the first notch and second notch defining a recess in the strap member. An intersection point positioned within the recess is at an intersection of lines being one of collinear and tangential with portions of the inner edges of the first and second primary straps. • Patent number: 9839824
Abstract: Golf bags may include a main compartment for holding golf clubs and a flip pocket attached with the golf bag body but movable between an engaged position and a disengaged position. The bag may further include: (a) a releasable connector system for releasably holding the flip pocket at the engaged position; (b) an anti-slip element for preventing movement of the golf bag body with respect to a securing strap; and/or (c) a divider to help keep the golf clubs separated from one another when stored in the main compartment. Optionally, an outer perimeter of the divider may be symmetric about a first axis extending in a front-to-rear direction, symmetric about a second axis extending in a side-to-side direction, and/or symmetric about a third axis extending in a top-to-bottom direction (when the golf bag is oriented in an upright manner). Methods of making and using such golf bags also are described.
