  • Patent number: 10373870
Abstract: A semiconductor device may comprise a semiconductor die comprising an active surface and contact pads disposed. Conductive interconnects comprising first ends may be coupled to the contact pads and second ends may be disposed opposite the first ends. An encapsulant may comprise a planar surface disposed over the active surface of the semiconductor die. The planar surface may be offset from the second surface of the conductive interconnects by a distance greater than or equal to 1 micrometer. A build-up interconnect layer may be disposed over the planar surface and extend into the openings to electrically connect with the conductive interconnects. A method of making the semiconductor device may further comprise grinding a surface of the encapsulant to form the planar surface and the conductive residue across the planar surface. The conductive residue may be etched to remove the conductive residue and to reduce a height of the conductive interconnects.

  • Publication number: 20190216376
Abstract: Optoacoustic diagnostic systems, devices, and methods are described. A system may comprise a console unit and a handheld probe. The console unit comprises a controller, a processor, a photodiode array, an acoustic processing subsystem, and a cooling subsystem. The probe directs light signals from the photodiode array to patient tissue. The light signals each have different wavelengths selected based on the physiological parameter of interest. The probe further comprises an acoustic transducer that receives acoustic signals generated in response to the directed light signals. The probe may comprise a finger-held working end that can be directed to the skull of a fetus within the uterus during labor. The probe can then accurately determine blood oxygenation of the fetus to determine if a caesarian section is necessary.

  • Patent number: 10354032
Abstract: Systems and techniques are described for optimizing an integrated circuit (IC) design. Some embodiment can perform enumeration on a hardware description language (HDL) description of an IC design to obtain a enumerated IC design that includes at least one technology-independent wide-gate or technology-independent wide-bus, wherein the technology-independent wide-gate represents a logical function that is performed on a variable number of inputs, and wherein the technology-independent wide-bus represents a variable number of signals that are part of a bus. The embodiments can then perform technology-independent IC optimization, synthesis, and technology-dependent IC optimization to obtain an optimized and synthesized IC design.

  • Patent number: 10328442
Abstract: Various embodiments concern a sprayer having a blower that outputs a HVLP flow of air into a hose, the hose connecting with a spray gun. A pressure sensor measures pressure of the HVLP air within the hose via a tube that branches from a fitting to which the hose connects. If the sensor indicates that the pressure level has increased above a threshold amount, indicating that the trigger of the spray gun is not being actuated, then power output to the blower is reduced (e.g., stopped). HVLP air is trapped within the hose by two valves when the trigger is not actuated. When the sensor indicates that the pressure level has decreased, corresponding to release of the trapped HVLP air into the gun for spraying by actuation of the trigger, power to the blower is increased (e.g., resumed).

  • Patent number: 10317988
Abstract: Embodiments provide techniques for altering a virtual world based on combinational input gestures. Embodiments retrieve a definition for a combinational gesture within a computer game, the definition specifying physical actions to perform according to a specified timing schedule in order to successfully perform the combinational gesture. User activity is monitored to detect when a first user input from a first input devices sufficiently matches a first predefined pattern of user input corresponding to a first physical action, and to detect when a second user input from a second input device sufficiently matches a second predefined pattern of user input corresponding to a second physical action. Embodiments determine that the first and second user inputs were performed according to the timing schedule specified in the definition. A status of at least one aspect of a virtual world for the computer game is altered, based on performance of the combinational gesture.

  • Patent number: 10300372
Abstract: Embodiments provide techniques for automating control of electronic device. A first interactive game playing within the physical environment using one or more electronic devices is detected. Embodiments collect electromyogram data from one or more electromyography sensors within the physical environment and analyze the electromyogram data collected to determine muscle activations made by the user. Upon determining that the determined muscle activations made by the user match a predefined pattern of electromyography data, embodiments determine a gameplay action corresponding to the predefined pattern of electromyography data and transmit an instruction, to at least one of the one or more electronic devices within the physical environment, instructing the electronic device to perform the determined gameplay action.
