    Abstract: An improved method of making a series of bead or microsphere or particle populations characterized by subtle variation in a proportion or ratio of at least two fluorescent dyes distributed within a single bead of each population is provided. These beads, when excited by a single excitation light source are capable of giving off several fluorescent signals simultaneously. A set containing as many as 64 distinct populations of multicolored, fluorescent beads is provided and when combined with analytical reagents bound to the surface of such beads is extremely useful for multiplexed analysis of a plurality of analytes in a single sample. Thus, methods of staining polymeric particles, the particles themselves, and methods of using such particles are claimed.

    Abstract: The Detangle hairbrush addresses the problem of removing the tangles from one's hair without pulling the hair loose from your scalp by moving the bristles in the same direction at the same time in a rapid back and forth motion the bristles will shake the strands of hair loose from the tangle instead of pulling them free from one's head as in the case of the fixed bristle hairbrush. The hairbrush handle consist of a cylinder or square shaped grip to accommodate the batteries, motor, gears, and pushrod that make up the drive system for the bristle plate. The head portion of the handle has C-shaped channels protruding downward from the long sides of the rectangular shaped head of the handle having the channels parallel and pointing toward the center creating rails for the bristle plate to ride on.

A seal is over-molded onto a tip of the insert and an end of a piston sleeve. The sleeve is rotated relative to the insert to establish fluid communication between the compartment and the barrel chamber.
