Publication number: 20230353513Abstract: Methods and apparatus related to determining reply content for a reply to an electronic communication. Some implementations are directed generally toward analyzing a corpus of electronic communications to determine relationships between one or more original message features of “original” messages of electronic communications and reply content that is included in “reply” messages of those electronic communications. Some implementations are directed generally toward providing reply text to include in a reply to a communication based on determined relationships between one or more message features of the communication and the reply text.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 28, 2022Publication date: November 2, 2023Inventors: Phillip Neal Sharp, Prabhakar Raghavan, Thompson Alexander Ivor Gawley, Balint Miklos, Karol Kurach, Tobias Kaufmann, Gregory Sean Corrado, László Lukács

Patent number: 11238211Abstract: A system may use a machine-learned model to determine whether to classify a sequence of one or more words within a first document that is being edited as a candidate hyperlink based at least in part on context associated with the first document. In response to classifying the sequence of one or more words as the candidate hyperlink, the system may use the machine-learned model and based at least in part on the sequence of one or more words and the context to determine one or more candidate document to be hyperlinked from the sequence of one or more words. In response to receiving an indication of a second document being selected out of the one or more candidate documents, the system may modify the first document to associate the sequence of one or more words with a hyperlink to the second document.Type: GrantFiled: March 14, 2019Date of Patent: February 1, 2022Assignee: Google LLCInventors: Jan van de Kerkhof, Balint Miklos, Amr Abdelfattah, Tobias Kaufmann, László Lukacs, Bjarke Ebert, Victor Anchidin, Brian Strope, Heeyoung Lee, Yun-hsuan Sung, Noah Constant, Neil Smith

Patent number: 11140115Abstract: A method of assigning categories to electronic messages is performed at a computing device having one or more processors and memory. The method includes receiving an electronic message and extracting one or more syntactic pairs of words from content of the electronic message. At least one of syntactic pairs includes a verb in a first sentence and an object in the same sentence, where the verb operates on the object. The method forms a feature vector based on the extracted syntactic pairs and uses the feature vector as input to a classifier. The classifier is trained on a set of training feature vectors, and each training feature vector is associated with a respective category. The method assigns a first category to the electronic message based on output of the classifier and displays the message in a group with other messages associated with the first category.Type: GrantFiled: December 9, 2014Date of Patent: October 5, 2021Assignee: GOOGLE LLCInventor: Laszlo Lukacs

Patent number: 10721201Abstract: Systems and methods for classifying messages are provided. Each message in a plurality of messages is classified, thereby independently identifying a message category in a set of message categories for each respective message in the plurality. The plurality of messages is delivered to a plurality of recipients with a designation of the message category of each respective message in the first plurality of messages. A plurality of recipient initiated message interaction events for messages in the first plurality of messages over a predetermined period of time is collected from the plurality of recipients. A message categorization dataset is then constructed from (i) the first plurality of messages, (ii) the designation of the message category of each respective message in the subset of the first plurality of messages, and (iii) the plurality of recipient initiated message interaction events. This message categorization dataset is used to train or evaluate a message classifier.Type: GrantFiled: September 10, 2019Date of Patent: July 21, 2020Assignee: Google LLCInventors: László Lukács, Karol Kurach, Balint Miklos

Patent number: 8463774Abstract: A method for performing a location search includes receiving a location search query, identifying one or more geographic feature documents that satisfy the location search query, ranking the identified geographic feature documents in accordance with scores that are based, at least in part, on corresponding address support scores, to produce a set of ranked documents, and providing results, in accordance with the ranked documents, that identify at least one geographic feature corresponding to at least one of the ranked documents. An address support score for an identified geographic feature document can be based on one or more of: a standalone support score and a template support score.Type: GrantFiled: July 15, 2008Date of Patent: June 11, 2013Assignee: Google Inc.Inventors: Florian Michel Buron, Alex Bailey, Alan Strohm, László Lukács, Diana Stroe, Fabrice Caillette, Johan Larsson Tibell

Patent number: 4605836Abstract: A process for maintaining weld quality during welding operation, marking the fault spots on the workpiece and certifying of quality, in the course of which instantaneous values of arc current and arc voltage characterizing manual or mechanized welding process are continuously measured and from the values thus obtained relative short-circuit time of the arc, drop frequency and arc outputs are continuously calculated. The measured and calculated values are compared with empirically determined optimal values, thus defining absolute values and signals representing the directions of deviations, as well as duration of deviations, are compared on a predetermined span of time and averages of absolute values and signals representing the directions are defined.Type: GrantFiled: September 21, 1984Date of Patent: August 12, 1986Assignee: Kohaszati Gyarepito VallalatInventors: Ferenc Retfalvi, Laszlo Lukacs, Laszlo Molnar, Gyorgy Dozsa, Adam Szappanos
