Abstract: A cutting element (1) for a tool for shaping a bone surface includes a plurality of elements that form metal blades (2), each having at least one cutting edge (5, 16); a substrate (4) made of a different material than that of the blade elements (2); said blade elements (2) being integrated into the substrate (4) during the manufacture of the cutting element and being tubular in shape and featuring a cutting flange (5) at least one of the ends thereof, and in that they comprise a longitudinal axis (XX) having an incline of an angle (?) relative to the substrate surface (4), this angle (?) being between 35 and 45°. A tool for shaping a bone surface equipped with such a cutting element.

Abstract: An acetabular cup includes a hemispheric acetabular shell designed to be set in a cotyloid cavity and a hemispheric insert made of biocompatible plastic material and designed to be engaged concentrically in the acetabular shell. An external base is provided with studs for anchoring in the cotyloid cavity bone and designed to receive the acetabular shell. An internal cup is designed to be placed in the acetabular cup opposite the external base and elements for linking the external base and the internal cup. The base and the cup define elements for adjusting the acetabular cup angular position in the cotyloid cavity according to the orientation to be given to the articulation while the elements linking the external base to the internal cup comprise elements for blocking the acetabular cup with respect to the external base after the acetabular cup angular position has been adjusted.

Abstract: An interbody spinal prosthetic implant is placed between adjacent vertebral bodies of the vertebrae of a spine to maintain a desired orientation and spacing between the adjacent vertebral bodies and support the adjacent vertebral bodies for fusion at the desired orientation and spacing, the prosthetic implant including a rigid member of biocompatible material having vertically opposite upper and lower load-bearing surfaces spaced apart a distance providing a height corresponding to the desired spacing, the rigid member having a wedge-shaped configuration in horizontal planes, the wedge-shaped configuration tapering from relatively narrower widths adjacent the front end toward relatively wider widths adjacent the rear end of the rigid body and providing the rigid body with an overall width wider than the height of the rigid body, and an ogival tip at the front end of the rigid member.
