    Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method comprising the steps of: a) producing a hydrocarbon stream from syngas via a Fischer-Tropsch reaction, wherein the hydrocarbon stream comprises a first C2 hydrocarbon stream comprising ethane and a first ethylene product; b) separating at least a portion of the first C2 hydrocarbon stream from the hydrocarbon stream; c) separating at least a portion of the first ethylene product from the first C2 hydrocarbon stream, thereby producing a second C2 hydrocarbon stream; d) converting at least a portion of the ethane in the second C2 hydrocarbon stream to a second ethylene product; and e) producing ethylene oxide from at least a portion of the second ethylene product.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for producing ethylene and propylene from syngas, the process comprising the steps of a) contacting syngas (2) with a first catalyst composition to obtain a first product stream (3) comprising ethylene, propylene and aliphatic hydrocarbons having 4 or more carbon atoms, b) splitting the first product stream (3) into a second product stream (5) comprising at least 90% of said aliphatic hydrocarbons having 4 or more carbon atoms and a third product stream (4) comprising ethylene and propylene, 3) separating ethylene and propylene in the third product stream so as to form a first ethylene stream (17) and a first propylene stream (16) and d) converting the second product stream (5) into a fourth product stream (8) comprising ethylene and/or propylene.

    Abstract: The method disclosed herein relates to two stage catalytic processes for converting syngas to acetic acid, acrylic acid and/or propylene. More specifically, the method described and claimed herein relate to a method of producing acrylic acid and acetic acid comprising the steps of: a) providing a feedstream comprising syngas; b) contacting the feedstream with a first catalyst to produce a first product stream comprising C2-C3 olefins and/or C2-C3 paraffins; and c) contacting the first product stream with oxygen gas and a second catalyst, thereby producing a second product stream comprising acrylic acid and acetic acid, wherein there is no step for separating the components of the first product stream before the first product stream is contacted with the second catalyst.
