Publication number: 20180082265Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for assisting users to maintain a desired work-life balance. A desired work-life balance ratio (ratio of time spent between two or more categories (e.g., work, leisure, family) among work and lifestyle) is provided by the user. One or more calendar systems are analyzed to determine the current work-life balance ratio over a duration of time. An activity pool containing a list of activities is analyzed to identify activities to suggest to the user to enable the current work-life balance ratio to match the desired work-life balance ratio in response to the current work-life balance ratio not matching the desired work-life balance ratio. A list of the activities identified is then provided to the user to enable the current work-life balance ratio to match the desired work-life balance ratio. In this manner, the user is better able to achieve the user's desired work-life balance.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 20, 2016Publication date: March 22, 2018Inventors: Ka Lai Chan, Wai Ho Chan, Pei Man Josephine Ann Liu, Chiu Hang Tsang

Patent number: 9052085Abstract: An LED video display includes an array of LED elements mounted on an LED panel. A light baffle has openings to accept the LED elements, and reflectors are formed about each LED opening. A shader or rib is provided above each LED reflector in the light baffle. A second rib is provided below each LED reflector to form a rib pair between adjacent LED reflectors. Mounting openings in the light baffle are in place of the rib pair that would otherwise be present in the arrangement of ribs. A mounting clip having a rib pair is fastened to the LED panel. The rib pairs of the mounting clips are inserted through the mounting openings in the light baffle to secure the light baffle and LED panel to one another. The rib pairs of the clips align with the rib pairs of the light baffle.Type: GrantFiled: March 13, 2013Date of Patent: June 9, 2015Assignees: Lighthouse Technologies Limited, Lighthouse Technologies (Huizhou) LimitedInventor: Curie Kui Lai Chan

Publication number: 20070145833Abstract: The operational frequency of existing magnetoelectric materials having metallic or ceramic magnetostrictive materials and ceramic piezoelectric materials may be limited to a few kilohertz due to the presence of eddy-current losses in the metallic magnetostrictive phase. Further, these materials may be difficult to machine and fabricate due to their brittleness. Additionally, it may be difficult to tailor and optimize the properties (i.e., magnetoelectric voltage coefficient ?E, etc.) of the devices. This invention provides a magnetoelectric element including at least one set of alternating piezoelectric layers and magnetostrictive composite layers. The magnetostrictive composite layer includes at least one magnetostrictive material dispersed in first concentrated zones within a first polymer matrix, wherein all of the concentrated zones are orientated along a first direction. It is found that the conversion efficiency (i.e., ?E) varies in accordance with applied magnetic control field Hcontrol.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 21, 2007Publication date: June 28, 2007Inventors: Siu Or, Helen Lai Chan-Wong
