Abstract: A smart battery communication system for a vehicle battery comprises a container for the smart battery communication system mounted to a vehicle battery and terminals for receiving power therefrom; a micro-controller is mounted in the container and has a microprocessor therein; one or more sensor modules are in the container, where each sensor module is capable of a specific function such as monitoring battery health; and one or more interfaces in the container connected to the controller and the one or more sensor modules, further including one or more wireless modems for communicating therefrom. The Smart Battery Communication System can function in a network of other like systems.
