    Abstract: An extrusion die set includes a charging die and forming die that permit the extrusion of seamless hollow products from a solid billet of aluminum or aluminum alloy on a single cylinder horizontal extrusion press. The charging die imparts a rotational component to the portions of a divided extrusion charge. The portions are combined in a zone of high pressure and further blended in a mixing space having a continuously variable configuration in the extrusion direction. The portions of the extrusion charge are so thoroughly blended that the hollow products have an uninterrupted molecular and crystalline configuration.
