  • Publication number: 20020132709
Abstract: An exercise and amusement device having a pair of spaced-apart rings or hoops which allow a person to roll while being safely contained within the device. The rings are kept in spaced-apart position by a number of support bars as well as a handle bar useful by a person using the device for stabilizing his position while the device is in use. The support bars and handle bar are attached at their opposite end to the pair of rings respectively in fixed, spaced-apart relationship. A support panel, equipped with a comfort pad, as well as a pair of foot supports, are also provided for comfortably accommodating a person within the device.

  • Publication number: 20010015878
Abstract: A magnetic sensor which includes a laminate comprising a first magnetic layer of soft ferromagnetic material, a nonmagnetic layer, a second magnetic layer of ferromagnetic material, and an antiferromagnetic layer, and a converting element for detecting the change in external magnetic field as the change in resistance and outputing it, with at least part of the first magnetic layer being formed of an Ni—Fe material, and the content of Ni, xNi, in wt % and the thickness, t, in nanometer thereof satisfying the relation represented by the following equation: 1 x N1 ≧ - B 1 Surf + B 1 Bulk · t B 2 Surf + B 2 Bulk · t

  • Patent number: 4088579
Abstract: Slurry to be densified by removal of water is passed into an inlet of a housing, through the housing, and out an outlet. Inside the housing are a plurality of elongated hollow filter elements, which extend in the direction of flow of the slurry. Water in the slurry passes through the walls of and into the interiors of the hollow filter elements, as the slurry flows along the lengths of the filter elements. The cross-sectional area of the flow space for the slurry, defined between the exterior surfaces of the filter elements and the interior wall of the housing, decreases as one proceeds along the lengths of the filter elements. As a result, the flow speed of the slurry does not decrease proceeding in the flow direction, but instead is maintained at least substantially constant, or is even caused to increase (accelerating flow).

  • Patent number: 4082367
Abstract: The equipment according to the present invention renders possible the continuous charge and similarly, continuous discharge in the case of two-chamber feeders considerably shorter than the original chambers, respectively, and by their operation according to a cyclic order deviating from the usual one. More precisely, the set aim is achieved according to the invention in such a way that to the pipe chambers, intermediate chambers are connected which can be connected to the pipe chamber or to the clear water basin, or to one of the two pumps (charging pump and high-pressure pump) by means of corresponding locking means.
