Patent number: 10708855Abstract: An LTE network extension (LNE) system includes an LTE access gateway (LAG) and a provisioned database. A plurality of LTE access radios in the LNE system broadcast the same shared PLMN ID (sPLMN ID). The sPLMN ID corresponds to a plurality of service provider core networks, each with a different PLMN. The provisioned database includes information identifying which networks are allowed to use the LNE system and includes service provider network address information. An LTE access radio, transmitting the sPLMN ID detects an attach request from a UE, and forwards the attach request to the LAG, which decides if access is to be allowed, based on a service provider home network PLMN included in an IMSI in the attach request and information in the provisioned database. If access is allowed, the LAG serves as a proxy between the LTE access radio and the UE's service provider home network.Type: GrantFiled: May 29, 2018Date of Patent: July 7, 2020Assignee: Charter Communications Operating, LLCInventor: Lakhbir Singh

Publication number: 20200077406Abstract: According to one configuration, a base station controller monitors use of multiple wireless channels amongst multiple wireless base stations operating in a wireless network environment. In response to detecting under allocation of wireless channels between a first wireless base station and a first group of communication devices, the base station control allocates a supplemental wireless channel to the first wireless base station. In one embodiment, the base station controller de-allocates a wireless channel from a second wireless base station and assigns the de-allocated wireless channel to the first wireless base station as the supplemental wireless channel. The base station controller then transmits a channel allocation communication to the first wireless base station, the channel allocation communication indicating an identity of the supplemental wireless channel allocated for use by the first wireless base station.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 11, 2019Publication date: March 5, 2020Inventor: Lakhbir Singh

MONITORING AND SWITCHOVER OF SHARED SPECTRUM ALLOCATION MANAGER TO PROVIDE IMPROVED WIRELESS SERVICE
Publication number: 20200059794Abstract: According to one configuration, a system includes provisioning hardware and a wireless station that supports communications with one or more communication devices. The wireless station receives a first notification from the provisioning system. The first notification indicating that the wireless station is assigned to a first allocation management resource. The first allocation management resource operable to allocate wireless resources for use by the wireless station to support wireless communications. The wireless station communicates with the first allocation management resource to receive allocation information indicating the wireless resources allocated for use by the wireless station. In response to receiving a second notification that the wireless station has been reassigned to a second allocation management resource, the wireless station communicates with the second allocation management resource instead of the first allocation management resource to receive the allocation information.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 24, 2018Publication date: February 20, 2020Inventor: Lakhbir Singh -

Patent number: 8173947Abstract: A scanning projector includes a mirror that scans in two dimensions, at least one of which is sinusoidal. A position sensor provides a position signal that represents an angular displacement of the mirror. The position signal is amplified by an amplifier with time variant characteristics. A beam position determination component compensates for the time variant characteristics of the amplifier.Type: GrantFiled: September 9, 2009Date of Patent: May 8, 2012Assignee: Microvision, Inc.Inventors: Mark Champion, Steve Holmes, Lakhbir Singh Gandhi, Harpal Singh Sira, Bruce C. Rothaar

Publication number: 20120069245Abstract: A phase for an analog-to-digital converter sampling clock is determined. The analog-to-digital converter samples a video signal to generate pixel values. Differences of successive pixel values are compared to a threshold. The number of times the threshold is exceeded is counted for multiple phase values to create a phase profile. The threshold may be dynamic.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 22, 2010Publication date: March 22, 2012Applicant: MICROVISION, INC.Inventors: Lakhbir Singh Gandhi, Mark Champion, Joel Sandgathe

Patent number: 7353030Abstract: A system and method for reducing power consumption and interference in a communications system that has multiple base radios. A base radio controller assigns priorities to the base radios in the system. When higher priority base radios have excess capacity, intracell handovers are used to consolidate communications from lower priority base radios to higher priority base radios. After transferring communications to higher priority base radios, the lower priority base radios can attenuate or shut off their transmitted signal in order to reduce or eliminate all the interference they cause other base stations in the system, and reduce transmission power requirements.Type: GrantFiled: July 29, 2005Date of Patent: April 1, 2008Assignee: Nextel Communications Inc.Inventor: Lakhbir Singh
